An ATM top secret.

Apparently the people who work at the bank call center do not know.

When you deposit a check, the ATM asks you to confirm it's amount.
DO NOT take it lighty. What ever the amount you confirm the ATM tells you, it becomes the amount on the image.

So if the actual amount on the check is different. . . . Merely calling your bank, they might primarily go by their check image.

* Can you get them to look at the actual check?
* Will there be an original image for the check?
* Will it have to wait till it clears with the check issuer?

I do not have any good answers. My bank only gave me credit for the small dollar amount. They denied the image was changed. My copy for the check image only showed the changed digit - all the other digits where not identifiable.

I always make deposits at the teller window, never at a machine.

May be old fashion - but it is effective.

and in addition - even though the clerk counted the $$ and put it thur the counting machine - I still count the $$ myself! -- As Ronald Regan said "Trust but verify"

Having never had so much money that it required a machine to count it all, I’ll still agree you need to count it.:)

peace to you

Could be ten $1 bills and many if not all banks will use the counting machine - just a double check.

That is interesting. I have never had a bank teller use a machine to count a withdrawal or cash deposit.

Must be NY regulations.

peace to you
