Anyone changed their mind on man made global warming

With all the recent revelations about fuzzy science, fudged data, and out right fraud...

Has anyone changed their belief concerning man made global warming?

I've never made up my mind in the first place. I see that there is some degree of warming present, but I'm not convinced that it is anthropogenic. I really don't know and don't really know where to begin in coming to a conclusion on this. I will say that people like Al Gore make too much of a big deal out of it, and even if it is man-made it makes him look like an extremist.

I wish someone would do an investigation on Al Gore and his push for change due to man-made global warming. I'll bet he has sent a few scandalous e-mails and hidden data to spin his agenda, and he has a monetary stake in it.

I was really hoping that a global warming believer would comment - there are at least a few of them on the board.

But they are strangely silent here.

I believe our weather goes in cycles. I believe man has had little to do with the weather cycles. So I haven't changed my view.

I believe in Global Climate Change! Its been changing since God created it...

BTW, "Climate Change" is the new key word. That way, they can claim if it gets colder, they can still "claim" it as proof.

My stance is and always will be this:
- God created this world and gave it to us to care for it. Doesn't mean we can abuse it for our own gain or due to our laziness.
- I don't believe we know that man's effect on this earth is causing any warming to take place. But that doesn't mean we can't work to lessen our impact on the environment. Reduce/Reuse/Recycle should be the goal.
- I am strictly against extreme measures taken to "fix" the environment. History has shown that man tends to make it worse when it tries to fix things (See Yellowstone: Wolves vs Elk; Great Lakes: fight against Zebra mussel).

never bit on it, and never will bite on anything man says that tells me "be afraid, be very afraid".
God is in control, and whether the globe burns or freezes, I don't care.

I appreciate all the responses to my question...

But I was hoping that a global warming believer would join in too.

I'm surprised by their silence.

No too long ago they were linking to charts and graphs and what-not to prove to the rest of us that global warming is a serious world threat.

My apologies then. Just sounded like you were hoping to find someone that currently believes in global warming...

For those interested, the University of East Anglia has announced that the CRU will be assessed by the Royal Society in addition to the ongoing independent review by Sir Muir Russell.

I've read the e-mails in the "climategate" scandal and addressed the commonly referred ones in a previous thread. It is much ado about nothing, especially since those e-mails have no impact on the NASA GISS (Goddard Institute for Space Studies) Surface Temperature Analysis data. The CRU e-mails do give a lot of fuel to nay-sayers in terms of quotes to misrepresent, but do not actually impact historical data.

In light of everyone else secrecy, fudged data, and out right lies there is no reason to believe anyone who makes this claim. It is a political tool to gain control of personal behavior and nothing else.
