We just had a most incompetent president, but no criticism about him. He earned my criticism with very poor decisions. Even though I believe he was a very bad president I posted ten things I liked about G. Bush. I have yet to see those who criticize Obama severely say anything good about him. I would think that at least a good word could be put in on his family values. He and his wife seem to be living family values out in their life. Agree?

But some hatred of Obama has nothing to do with is politics or being liberal and everyone knows it.

Bush wasn't a great president, IMO, but to put Obama in his class is intellectually dishonest.

Obama does not value freedom. He does not esteem liberty.

Obama is not a president that upholds the values of the US. You know it, I know it...if you say otherwise, it is because you refuse to admit his opposition to individual liberties.

Oh wow - look at that !

Crabby managed to derail yet another thread simply because it was not flattering to "the one".

I sent you a private message saying I would answer your question if you started a new thread ... also that you may be embarrassed by my reply. So, if you really want an answer start a thread and ask. Otherwise stop hiding behind veiled insults. Why did you not reply to my private message?

We do not need a new thread and such threads are not appropriate, all you need to do is answer Bro. Curtis instead of ignoring him. And I do not veil anything. I am pretty blunt. It is you who veils insults.

The only good thing I can think of with regards to Obama is his pledge to rebuild and improve our infrastructure. That would be a good and very needed thing. Other than that I am struggling. I respect him as president because I am supposed to, but I haven't like much of anything he has done, if anything at all.

If you want an answer you will have to start a thread on that topic. There is no need to derail any other topic for your question. So, start the thread or drop the topic.

That is an answer I respect. There is no problem in being against various policies of any president. However, it is a bit much to see thread after thread after thread that are all negative ... and those same people, no matter what Obama does or does not do, they criticize him. For them it must be hate and it cannot all be simply policies or political philosophy.

As most well know who have read posts over the last two years, I did and still feel that GB was a very bad president. However, as I said earlier in a post today, I did list ten things I liked about him. Believing he was a poor president does not mean I hate him as a person. I do not. I think he would be lots of fun to be around.

I would think that those who seem to hate him would at least approve of the way he displays good family values.

I'm at a loss. What good thing can one say about President Obama? In just one year he has led us into greater debt, greater unemployment, greater vulnerability to our enemies, greater government interference in our personal lives, greater protections of deviant life styles, etc..

As a political moderate who likes Obama, I do see a lot of sheer hatred towards him on this forum. Now, I do have my disagreements with the President. I thought that we would have been better served by a tax holiday than a spending package, and I'm pro-life, among a few other issues. Bush, however, was just terrible, but I never thought that he was out to destroy America or that he was a Nazi (see also people calling Obama a Marxist) or anything like that.

It is a fact that Obama is a marxist. Marxism is his political world view. That is not just an extreme name calling. To call Bush a Nazi is another thing all together.

Obama's just a mainstream center-left politician. I really don't get how you see him as Marxist. If anything, Obama is more conservative than a lot of the Congressional leadership. Perfect example, Obama supported the D.C. vs. Heller court decision that (correctly) recognized the right to bear arms as an individual right.

Tiny, that is fine. I understand about time. It took me some time when I listed the 10 things I liked about G. Bush.

I really do not mind anyone being for or against a politician as long as there is some semblance of fairness in their postings.

Cheers.
