Is it, therefore, wrong to express a person's pride in such things as:
(1) taking pride in your accomplishments or those of your loved ones? (EX: Graduating with a very high GPA from high school or college; doing consistently well at your job; getting a well deserved promotion, etc.)
(2) taking pride in one's appearance
(3) being proud of how your property (gardens, etc.) looks

Pride of accomplishment has its place but it is temporal - it won't last.
Your GPA wont matter in a few years when you're in the working world.
You'll get age and get wrinkles, loose a tooth .
Your yard will decay in time.
Your community will change
.
Proverbs 16:18 (ESV)
Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
The New Living Translation puts Ecclesiastes 12 [LINK] in a particular light that makes it come alive.
Colossians 3:2–4 (ESV)
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
