Are there ANY in the various Baptist traditions/groups/associations/Churches etc that would hold there are still Apostles and Prphets among us today?
I do NOT subscribe to such, any one here though do?
Because you always se/hear about a seminar with the "prophet" or "Apostle" such and such!
Are There Modern day Apostles And Prophets In The Church?

The easy answer is no, since you capitalized "prophet." But the NT also uses the term to apply to folks who present the gospel accurately. Naturally we all think we fit that definition. It is less confusing to teach that now with have teachers rather than prophets, and ambassadors rather than Apostles.

So one might say they are apostles and prophets with a small "a" and a small "p". However usually Baptists do not use those terms to discribe these people. -
Someone with the gift of Apostle no.
Someone with the gift of prophecy No. -
But yes, in the sense of one like a missionary or one "sent" to help others or one who "speaks forth" the truth as an oracle of God from His word.
However even at that, IMO, we should refrain from calling them "prophets" and "apostles" to avoid confusion.

IF mean strict biblical sense/use someone writing/speaking forth "revelation"
none today...
IF mean that someone holds authority over a local group of Churches, more of an administrator function, or else someone can speak "oracles" of God with clarity and in power of Holy Spirit... Speaking to situations with Godly wisdom/understanding...
Do see under the more "lose" definition how one can function in the gifts of such, but that the actual OFFICES of both have been officially closed off after Apostle John passed away... -
However there is the gift of prophecy which I believe has not passed away and if a pastor does not have that gift he needs to get out of the pulpit. -

Fortunately I will not have to give account for you nor you for me. If I stand condemned for seeking to obey and seeking to teach others to obey then so be it, as that would mean the word of God would be condemned also. You have chosen a different path and will find out like me if it was the right one, but mine agrees with scripture and yours agrees with you and those who follow post-modernism and the emergent church.

I have a suggestion - lets take our enthusiasm of our disagreements and put it into evangelism!
