What are you talking about??? I don't even understand your English, your grammar is very confusing. I just wanted to know where you got the numbers. Nevermind. If I had known this was going to happen, I would never have asked. I don't believe them anyway.

we have machines that can make billions of
numbers each second. What is important is
what the number mean, where the numbers come
from. But our man trying to win a debate
didn't bother to tell us what the numbers
mean, where the numbers came from.

Hi guys. I love my KJV. The beautiful, archaic language of the text helps me memorize verses! It is my Bible of choice, tho I do own other versions and use them for study aids. The Holy Spirit has never let me down in finding the truth of His word, but of late I have enjoyed doing some Greek and Hebrew word studies. In Christ, WT

I am KJV preferred. I had a KJV Bible given to me when I got saved and I got used to reading it and I love it. I bought one of my own almost 30 years ago and have had it rebound many times (needs it again!).
I have nothing against anyone using the version they feel comfortable with as long as they are reading God's Word.
When my children were young, we used <gasp> The Living Bible for our nightly devotions.
We read, as a family, through the Bible every year and this version was much easier for them (not only to read) but to understand. It didn't 'warp' any of them...

If the King James Version was good enough for the Apostle Paul, then its good enough for me...give me that ole time religion, give me that ole time religion... :D

I use the KJV mostly when I use internet search engines, because that is what they mostly use as their default translation.

It is interesting, one of the big things today is for a revival in America. There have been in the past few hundred years about 3 or 4 revivals in England and in the US. These all happened when the Word of God was present (i.e. Renaisance [I can't spell that]) The other couple of revivals occured when the KJV was the only Bible. We have had so many versions that most cannot claim one as the Word of God and nothing big has really happened. I don't know but maybe the reason we don't have a big revival is because we can't decide on what the Word of God is. I am KJVO by the way

John 5:29 (KJV) "And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation."
John 5:29 (NASV) "and shall come forth; those who did the good deeds, to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment."
Just a little extra on the side -
Comrade said "There have been in the past few hundred years about 3 or 4 revivals in England and in the US. These all happened when the Word of God was present (i.e. Renaisance [I can't spell that])"
Both the Renaissance and the Reformation predate the KJV.
Comrade said "The other couple of revivals occured when the KJV was the only Bible."
The KJV has never been the only Bible. The pilgrims and puritans who came on the Mayflower were fleeing the persecution (partly from King James and the church of England) and used the Geneva Bible.
Comrade said "We have had so many versions that most cannot claim one as the Word of God"
We should NOT claim only one as the word of God, because that implies the word of God did not exist until that one was published.
Comrade "nothing big has really happened. I don't know but maybe the reason we don't have a big revival is because we can't decide on what the Word of God is."
First, lots big has happened. For one, there has been more missionary work in the last 50 years than in the last 500 years combined. Second, revival is not the result of any particular translation, but the result of people being open to the leading of the Holy Spirit regardless of which version they read. -

I personally like the NIV. My hubby is a KJVO person. I love to take my NIV study Bible and compare passages to my Hubby's KJV study Bible. I also compare the study notes. Now from about Sept to Dec. I become KJO because I love to go the Renaissance Faire around here and the KJV helps me with Basic Faire Accent. BTW our Faire is King James 1603 so it is before the KJV was published, but while he was in rign over England. I thought that was neat.

Artimaeus said "I'm thinking a man with two watches never knows what time it is."
A man with many watches knows when one of the watches is off. A man with only one watch can never know. -

All my Bibles, including my Study Bibles, are KJV.

I like and use the following:
ESV, RSV, NRSV, NIV, REB, HCSB,
NLT and some others. We
are blessed to have so
many excellent translations
in English.
