    The Biblical evidence for "gaps" in the genealogy is one name found in Luke 3:36, ". . .of Cainan, . . ." after the flood and missing in the Hebrew texts. And the argument is some of the names are of families not merely of individuals. Even at that, one would be hard pressed to get evidence for millions of years. Maybe our science will catch up.

    I think the linked OP article was addressing folks who try to harmonize the first man (Adam about 6 or 7 thousand years ago) with claims of some scientists that men able to paint pictures on cave walls lived 15 to 30 thousand year ago. They explain that there are "gaps" in Adam's linage which allows thousands of years to be added in. It is a hogwash argument...
