Other than the fact that the border is the most secure it’s ever been, I can’t honestly say that things have changed all that much.

Well, I disagree on several points, and, “Fat Lady ain’t sung yet”. More good stuff yet to come, especially if midterms are good for us.

As much as I want that to be true, I have my doubts. The house is almost certainly going to flip, creating even more gridlock in Congress. Not to mention the resources that will be wasted on weekly impeachment attempts that will go nowhere.

Whine on.

Gridlock is irrelevant. Even when one party controlled both houses of Congress and the White House, they failed to pass meaningful reform on anything that really matters (immigration, health care costs, the budget, social security, the decline of the middle class/income gap, tax reform). The job of a congressman is to get re-elected. You just need to keep getting upset about the push-button issues so you will keep voting correctly.

We can’t actually CHANGE anything, that will upset a donor.

I suppose it’s becoming less and less relevant when most things are done by executive order anyway. Obviously, it wasn’t the intent of the founding fathers for our country to be governed that way.

Historically, a president who enters the WH with his party as the majority in both houses, loses at least the majority on one chamber during the midterm elections. Right now, the Republicans are working diligently to lose both majorities and it's all because of what Trump has been doing and the party with a few exceptions just rolling over and letting him do it.

The economy is a shambles thanks to Trump's war with Iran. Please everyone, spare me the fantasy that Iran was only weeks away from having a nuke and a month or two away from launching it at Israel. Following the attacks on the three Iranian nuclear facilities in June of last year, Trump said those facilities were obliterated and it would be years before they would ever be capable of enriching uranium again. But eight months later he says they are weeks away from having a nuclear bomb? Was he lying in June or was he lying in February?

His war was mismanaged from the beginning. He assumed because Iranians were protesting their government that they would arise and fight the government once the June attacks concerned. He even admitted his disappointment when that didn't happen. Did he really expect unarmed people to go to war against a well armed military?

Now look at what this has cost us. Increased fuel costs because 20% of the global supply of oil was cutoff. Oil prices increased, causing increases in gasoline and diesel. Ah diesel, the fuel used to transport goods to market on truck. Higher fuel costs result in higher costs to transport goods to market. That in turn increases cost for those goods to consumers. \

Polls show a heck of a lot more people are finding him doing a bad job rather than a good job. Those who are really dedicated to Trump will claim polls are never right - unless they favor Trump.

Politicians lie and Trump has told some whoppers. Politicians left and right are not faithful to those who elect them. Each party's priority is having power over the other.

There are two things we can count on. God will never lie to us, and He will always be faithful. I put all my trust in Him.
