At least 21 people were killed on Monday in a second day of heavy clashes between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh that reportedly involved air power, missiles and heavy armour.

The fiercest fighting in years between the two former Soviet republics has revived concern over stability in the South Caucasus, a corridor for pipelines carrying oil and gas to world market

Kinda sorta. Georgia and Azerbaijan are the friendly nations in the area. Armenia is allied with Russia, and they both cooperate with Iran in opposition to US interests.

Normally in these small wars you'll see competing tech, east versus west, usually aircraft vs SAMs. This conflict is intriguing to watch the Israeli drones on the Azeri side. Small drones, not the big whoppers you see in the news, are going to be a fundamental change in war.
