Aside from "no war for oil"

    why isn't the coal industry worth making a fuss over?

    Well, if you think like the government thinks, its because the last time I checked, the Middle East was not mining coal, and we as Americans do not depend on foreign sources for coal. Actually coal is how we should be treating oil, what we use is what we produce in this country. Of course, Bush already pointed out that we were too dependent on oil 5 years into his term.

    Ok, I'll bite -- which activists, about what and how exactly?

    Gold miners? Diamond miners? Apartheid? English vs Africaans? Soccer? Native homelands? Parlimentary proceedure? Water rights? Methaqualone? Natural gas?
