One word Pit Stop. Okay, it's two words but that's not the point. We would go on for pages about hating cats, apologize to Scarlett O for hating cats, submit hundreds of suggestions for keeping cats from pooping in your sandbox....
BB was a lot more fun when the Pit Stop was running.
Which would be difficult to keep running if it was a STOP.
We could revolt. We could start our own little cat haters circle.
It could be a club like Calvin and Hobbs.
We could exclude smelly girls. We couldn't exclude SO, however. There's a few more we'd have to let in to keep the tension level elevated.
We could pretend we don't like smelly girls.
They'd never catch on.
I'm considering the irony of modeling a cat-haters club after Calvin and Hobbs, the latter of whom was a cat. A stuffed one that came to life only for Calvin, to be sure, but nonetheless, a cat.
And that's a dichotomy, identifying a vegetable as "meat." Interesting thread thus far ...
... once we got the statistician out of the way.
Theres a cat in the kettle at the Peking Moon,
The place that I eat every day at noon.
They can feed you cat and youll never know,
Once they wrap it up in dough, boy.
They fry it real crisp in dough.
And has anyone noticed that, in strip mall shopping centers where there is a Chinese restaurant located, there is an animal hospital no more than three doors away?
My neighbor feeds all the stray cats in our neck of the woods. :tonofbricks:
Those cats think they own the place. Lay on my truck, my porch, my driveway, the sidewalk. Some of the brave ones would just hiss at ya when you walk in their direction.
Then one day, my youngest wanted a 2 yr old Husky someone couldn't care for anymore. I was against it at first, but caved into my love for dogs. Little did I know he hated cats more than me. We no longer have a cat problem. Unfortunately he has also over played with a turtle (poor turtle) a piglet, 2 pet rabbits (not sure how piggie and rabbits got in the yard, or Mr. turtle for that matter) a possum, many squirrels and moles. I'm okay with the moles.
Laying on the truck? That's just wrong on every level. BBs will chip the paint or star the windshield. At least you can get a fair shot on the porch or sidewalk. Good dog!
Perhaps Gib's dog and my cat would get along. Matrix weights 24 pounds (solid muscle, too -- no fat on him) and hates other cats about as much as Gib and his dog do. But he does get along fine with our Lab/Shepherd mix. Matrix poops in his sandbox, won't "do his business" anywhere but there -- he in fact has been known to wake us up at 3 a.m. to be let back in the house just so he can use it.
The Rottweiler down the street is scared to death of the cat, and no other dog in the neighborhood will go within 50 yards of the Rott. Hmm ...
Back in the day you would be asked to surrender your man card for saying positive things about cats - even if it was your own. You been talking to Scarlett?.
Please....have you forgotton about barn cats....they have their place and they ain't pampered pets. Ya don't worry bout rodents with them around. The only thing is I gotta watch my wife cause she is cruel to them. She has been known to throw them into grain barrels to get rid of mice and other rodents. Her answer to all this is "if they are going to be around here, then they need to earn their keep. "
