BAPTIST LEADER CALLS FOR PRAYERS FOR PRESIDENT BUSH
(Plano, Texas-AP) -- The president of the Southern Baptist
Convention says now, more than ever, President Bush needs prayer.
The Reverend Jack Graham told Sunday worshipers at
Prestonwood Baptist Church in suburban Dallas that the loss of
the space shuttle "Columbia" and its crew come as Bush struggles
to deal with Iraq and a troubled economy.
Graham said, "Many of us can't imagine the weight on the
shoulders of our nation's leader." So as Baptists pray for the
astronauts' families, he urged them to remember President Bush as
well.
