Moore, who worked as the Minister of Music was handed his last paycheck, and told by Rev. Riley that his services were no longer needed. Investigators say that's when Moore tased the pastor.

A fight ensued, and deputies say Harvey Hunt, a deacon at the church, pulled out a pocket knife and began stabbing Moore's mother, Agolia, in the arm.

Wow!! If you watch the video pay attention to the video of the Music Minister (the tazer), the self proclaimed R&B singer. When they are talking about him tasering the pastor he is singing "I can't take it no more, I can't take it no more"

As with many of the problems in our churches today it seems to be rooted in PRIDE, I thank God that he can and still does work to accomplish his plan despite how pathetic we can be at times.:godisgood:

A couple of months ago a deputy shot a non-lethal weapon at a suspect. The suspect thought they were real bullets. So he used his shotgun and shot the deputy. The deputy was KIA. He was the youth directory in the local SBC church. His daughter was born the day he died. :tear:

She says church leaders ganged up and fired her son Simone, who had been serving as the music minister.

"They owed him. He asked them for his money. That was the big thing right there, wasn't no more or no less," said Moore.

Investigators say Deacon Harvey Hunt whipped out a knife and started slashing at people.

"And you weren't attacking him?" asked Ramey.

"No, I didn't do anything to him. When I told him what he did to my son he came at me, deliberately cut me," replied Moore.

Nineteen stitches and a surgery later, Moore says she wants her side of the story told. She says while her son did tase pastor Daryl Riley. She says it was the pastor and other church leaders who started the fight.

"He done got cut before anything started," said Moore.

Moore explains he expected trouble at the meeting when he saw the pastor had changed out of his church suit:

". . .a small stun gun 'cause I've been carjacked before. . . I should not have had it, but I didn't trust the situation," Moore said. "I saw Riley going in there with a T-shirt and tennis shoes, and that's the pastor. He had a T-shirt and shoes he did not preach in."

Just Another Sign of a World Gone Mad?

I'd say there is more going on here than we are privileged to know about.

However, things are going a little crazy in all parts of this world, so why not the church. It could have been a Lutheran church. It could have been a Catholic church. It could have been an Assembly of God. The fact that it was a Missionary Baptist Church didn't matter as much as the fact that it happened, and it gave one more black eye to the Church of Jesus Christ.

This is a sad moment in our day and time. Sad that a pastor feared firing his employee. Sad that a deacon thought it necessary to stab the mother with a knife. Sad that it was an event that made the news. Sad because the church can do a million unnoticed things in a right and positive way, and this one bad news worthy event can push the church back to the dark ages. :tear:
