I think that you misunderstood my point, as the end result of church discpline should be into getting the pwerson to repent/confess/ have restoration back to God and be in good standing among the bethren once again.
I was just suggesting that the problem may at times be that the person acting sinfully may not ven been saved yet.

no, it's a silly notion to think wearing a suit and tie is to show respect to God.

Apostle paul disagrees with you on not having church discipline exercised when required, as he roasted the Corinth church for NOT doing that in 1 Corinthians 5:1!

I agree and believe there has been a continuous Christain fellowship since the beginning of the church. I don't believe there is a need to identify it day by day all the way back.

I made sure of this before considering attending. KJVO (that's it is the only real Bible) IS the heresy of double inspiration in practice.

I am speaking about the ordinance of baptism, not personal convictions. Baptism is the first step of obedience for a believer. Paedobaptists believe that also when it comes to a convert. In fact, paedobaptists consider it a grievous sin worthy of church discipline if a parent refuses to have their infant child baptized, that is how serious they consider the issue. I am a Baptist, so I reject paedobaptism, but the command to be baptized is just that, a command. Refusal to be baptized is sinful.

Its not an option for Presbyterians....they were baptized as infants. But nobody disciplines me....nobody but God.

Both jesus and Paul stated that a church must use church discipline when needed in order to bring correction into the assembly. Failure todo such would allow the sin issue to fester and grow much worse!

............being a KJV user myself I find many in the IFB, KJV............ranks take it a little too far as they begin to worship the KJV itself?

Even though I use a KJV.........give me a NWT, Catholic Bible, etc. and I can still lead someone to Christ with it:Thumbsup

Mormons use the KJV and they are lost as a goose:Alien

I have read where some see the Word John talked about as being the Kjv prophesied about by God!

Yep. Some do take it too far. They do not understand exactly what a translation is and therefore cannot understand how the KJV and NKJV (and NASC, etc) can all be the Word of God because they read differently in English.

But even here it is a weakness that shouldn't prevent us from uplifting a brother. They still hold God's Word when they hold the KJV (and are only ignorant that I also hold the infallible Word of God when I hold an NIV).
