Whole lot better than then hearing the snap of that rubber glove!

The false teaching within the Penal Theory of Atonement is the view that God demanded physical punishment in order to forgive sins.
There is no Scriptural support of this thinking.
Because of this false demand, the view abounds with the idea that God "cannot look upon sin," the "wrath of God was poured out upon the Son," and that "God demanded justice and payment because sin is a debt owed to God."
Again, not one of those statements is Scriptural. -

If you cannot, it is unscriptural. -

It appears that way -

Rather, God did not abandon the son, rather He withdrew support from the Son. Just as a Parent may quickly rush to protect the infant, there are situations in which the parent allows the grown Son to take place. The parent did not abandon, but forsook by withholding protection.
Palms 22 gives the completed statement in which Christ could only lift himself briefly to utter a single phrase. There is no truth to abandonment in that psalm.
Most folks don’t know that in every statement given on the crosses where done as one had to literally lift themselves up so they could exhale.
The body actually inhaled by natural posture on the cross.
Folks did not died from blood loss on the Roman crosses nor by being unable to inhale!
They died from affixation, no longer able to lift up to exhale. -

Read psalm 22 to the end. -

There is no Scriptures supporting abandonment on the Cross.
Look as Psalm 22:
24For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted;
Nor has He hidden His face from him;
But when he cried to Him for help, He heard.
Christ could only speak while He lifted His body to exhale. By presenting Psalm 22, all Jews who stood near were pointed to that which He was going through and the natural events occurring around Him was not God's displeasure and disapproval or even judgment.
But that which the Father embraced and responded by providing the Son shade, and distracting the vicious attack dogs of the heathen workers of iniquity by natural means.
Oh that humankind see the Glory of the relationship of the Father and Son was unbroken at the crucifixion. That the Father rejoiced along with all heaven at the appearance of the slain lamb. -
- Jesus in His deity was one with the father, but ot in His humanity, as in his body he did receive and take the poured out wrath of God towards those sins that he now was bearing!

Why not agree to this?
b. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for all mankind as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice, and that the sufficiency of this atoning sacrifice to accomplish the redemption and justification of all who trust in Him is assured by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead (Romans 3:24,25; 4:25; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Timothy 4:10; Hebrews 2:9; 1 Peter 1:3-5; 2:24; and 2 Peter 2:1).
