Honestly, the only person who hasn't grown and changed around here is the OP, who has been spouting the same left wing line since he's been here. Maybe he ought to be afraid of standing still.
The people were restless but Samuel told them to stand still so that they could properly take in the Word of the Lord.
Written by one of the Korahites, this particular psalm delivers an oft-quoted line, as seen in the quote above. It is something we would all do well to remember from time to time. We get so wrapped up in going about, as your Chinese proverb states, that we forget to just be still and know our God is God.
In Nehemiah 8 we are told of the Levitical priests having to "still the people" because of their rowdiness/rambunctiousness.
This is the forum where C.T.Boy posts his eastern religion nonsense, denies the resurrection, denies the judgement, denies the inspiration of scripture, and when challenged, cries like Jan Brady, and tells everyone they hate Jesus.
The original poster's quote is actually wise I think. I mean, who wants to go through life standing still? Doesn't Jesus command us to grow spiritually and bear good fruit? How can you do that when you're standing still. Life is about growing and learning after all.
