Bears Inspire A City Still Reeling From Great Chicago Fire Of 1871
CHICAGO—As Brian Urlacher triumphantly hoisted the George Halas Trophy Sunday, it was a symbol of more than just the Bears' 39-14 victory over New Orleans—it was a symbol of hope to the thousands of Chicagoans who are still struggling to resume normal lives after the fire that swept through a 2,000-acre swath of downtown, killed over 300 people, injured hundreds more, destroyed a third of Chicago's buildings, and left 100,000 residents homeless this past Oct. 8 through Oct. 10, 1871.

I am glad the Bears can help the poor people of Chicago heal.

I'm convinced that the biggest group to read the onoin is pastors who need their skewed sense of humor.
With that said, if I had heard one more time about the "ravages of Katrina" and how the Saints were lifting up the city of New Orleans, I was going to throw up. 2 Summers ago we had 4 hurricanes come through within 50 miles and only now are the last of the blue tarps being removed from roofs.
ok... taking a deep breath and ending the rant... :BangHead:

LoL, you see the humor then. This is the same artical that would have been writen about the Saints in every single paper, if they would have won.
They just replaced Saints with Bears and huricane with fire.
