On his show today, Glenn Beck stated that when he had his get-together on 28 Aug, he did not want to stand on the exact same Spot that Martin Luther King did back in the '60's. Beck said something along the line of he (King) was too great of a man to to emulate.

I don't know, I like to listen to Beck off and on, and if I recall he was going to have one of Dr. King's nieces or some relative speak at the rally. Of course the handful of articles I read from the liberal news media forgot to include this fact when "reporting" on the rally.

Glenn Beck lost me when he began to preach his warped religious views and "divine providence" daily on his tv program.
The clincher was when he had a panel of guests including the niece of MLK, a Rabbi, a priest, and a Hindu. All of them including Beck made Jesus to be nothing more than a good man who had revolutionary ideas. It was sickening. -

Black Robe Regt
I am going to start another thread in the form of a poll.
The question I am going to ask is - would you join the Black Robe Regt? -
I saw an interview where he basically said he has no problem with gay marriage being legalized. So even though he "cloaks" himself with some form of christian speak, he really doesn't stand with Jesus of the bible. That is what I wish more people would see.
If he would just stick with politics it would be one thing, but he has crossed over into something else, and I don't see what he does as furthering the true Gospel, but rather hindering it.
As to the OP question. I really don't have an issue one way or another with where he stood, but the sync in me feels it was a calculated move. -
Glenn Beck is a charlatan. He is becoming one of the most dangerous men on television because he uses pseudo-Christian language and ideas to push his social agenda. Now, when it comes to politics he makes many good points. But, I take serious offense to the way he attempts to deceive Christians into joining him.

Last week Glenn mention he was on vacation and there were no churches of his faith around (mormon) so he attended a AOG church -
any new thoughts on Glenn ann King -

Wasn't it sharpton or one of his bunch that had a counter ralley on the King spot when Beck was having his?
I think Beck is probably a real different type of mormon with his Cath. background. He says things that seem a little off from the normal mormon company line.
His contract is up with Fox and he has been talking about doing something really new and different.
Time will tell. -
