O.K. - On Friday, David C. Gibbs III (not to be confused with his father, David C. Gibbs, Jr.) testified for the prosecution. The younger Gibbs is with the Gibbs Law Firm, and also is affiliated with the Christian Law Association (the orginization his father is best known for).
Wow, you've gotta think that, as a Christian, you are pretty much toast when the CLA is not working on your behalf- but is actually testifying for the other side!:
God created man in his image. He did not create a being he hoped one day would become human. I consider evolution to be a lie, unsupported by scripture. Your insults & denials don't change this.
I'm not at all uncomfortable with my faith.
Prove the RCC teaches this. I've read the chatechism, and no mention of evolution. If catholics believe this, then aren't they bucking the system ?
Also, prove that is the general consensus among them.
I am accusing you of denying scripture. Only because you are.

I would remind you all this is not the forum to discuss evolution. Unless it is the evolution of events at the trial. Further, There is a report post icon, use it. The Admin Council takes a dim view :tonofbricks: of the usurpation of its functions. IOW, let the Mods moderate. Keeping in mind we do have a life away from BB, so we may not take action quite as fast as you deem proper. :BangHead:
Are there no thoughts out there on the fact that Beka Horton and David C. Gibbs III (i.e. the Christian Law Association) are witnesses for the prosecution in this trial?
For my own part, there is a local IFB church in my area which both supports the CLA financially and which has also had Kent Hovind in to conduct one of his seminars.
I'm curious to see if they will feel the need to "choose sides" once the dust settles from this trial.
Don't misunderstand me, I think Hovind is guilty. I simply find it interesting that this situation exists in which supposed members of the same movement (IFB's) find themselves on opposite sides in this trial. As in the example I inquired about about, I just wonder if this will or might result in furthur fragmentation among IFB's.
