Anything by John MacArthur would be excellent.

Good books, however I'd caution one of the Arminianism being taught in the books. With John MacArthur one will not get any of that.

I liked After Three, by Ben Gutierrez.

Had to buy it for a class, but I've gone through the study several times since.

I am a calvinist, but do find those books very useful in a teaching setting with persons either just saved, or else questioned under the conviction of the Holy Spirit!

Also have used Know what/why you believe, by Paul little...

I own the books mentioned and they are good at fact finding and information which God has used. However I would not endorse them over a good book from a Reformed author.

dr MacArthur not a Reformed writer though!

Would say that based upon what you are looking for, those I mentioned would do very well, and once saved by the Lord, could go into the meat of the reformed/baptist writers!
