Vice President Joe Biden acknowledged today that Democrats could face political repercussions in 2010 for their support of the $900 billion economic stimulus package. “But when we do [approve it], I’m sure you’re going to be nailed in ads, ‘Well they voted on that’ 30 second ads,” Biden told roughly 200 members of the House Democratic Caucus gathered here for their three day annual retreat. “I promise you as [a colleague] once said to me, ‘I’ll come campaign for you or against you, whichever will help you the most in your district.’ And so will the president because, again, we’re all in this together.”
The vice president also offered some trademark candor about the prospects of success.
He recalled a recent White House meeting with the president and senior aides in which they were discussing the many challenges the country faces. “If we do everything right, if we do it with absolute certainty, there’s still a 30% chance we’re going to get it wrong,” was his message at the meeting.

When is it going to get through some thick skulls that Republican and conservative are not synonyms. -
On topic, dems do not care what the american people think or believe, this shows an example of it right here, democratic voter backlash, and they don't care, even their own voters disagree with them.
They won't recover as a party from wasting $900B any time soon. -

SaturnNeptune is right. What is the difference ? Even Biden thinks this has over a 25% chance of failing, just like "conservative" G.W. Bush's did. We haven't learned a thing. -

So, in light of the bolded part of your quote, what is the point of your post?
I, for one, totally agree that the bail-out was a classic boondoggle, and just because Bush did it is no excuse to compound the error. -

Unlike Bush, Biden is showing real leadership. He is being honest. I understand this is something the republicans have forgotten about, considering their recent past leaders like Bush, Cheney, and Rove!

It seems the only point to your post is to show you know how to make bold print on posts. -

We expect such behavior of democrats, not republicans. Over the years, the two have become one. -
