I plan to preach from the Bible each Sunday (in other words, nothing different).
Amen

While it's important to know your heritage, I believe black history month drives the wedge further between racial equality than it does promote it. It's almost a slap in the face, IMO. I can't tell you how many years in a row I hear who invented the fist traffic light, invented peanut butter, etc. It's almost like "wow, look, we can do important things too".

Also, with political correctness rampant, why isn't african-american history month insisted upon?

I am going to protest all the American holidays shown on our Canadian calendars. We might get confused and take more days off than we should..

Black February is an historical thing and was around even before the battles for equal rights. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday was in January.19th I think

Cheers,

Jim

Our church does not take its cue from the world; we preach the word, which includes that all people are made in the image of God. This lesson was taught recently in our "foundational doctrines" series.
