Rippon have you always been so dense or did it just manifest itself since you joined BB?

I'm the same 24/7. I don't hide behind a keyboard and then become a different person when I'm in front of people.

Racially prejudiced Old white men accused MLK Jr of being hateful.
Racially prejudiced Old white men accused Lincoln of being hateful.
Racially prejudiced Old white men accused JFK of being hateful.
Racially prejudiced Old white men accused Obama of being hateful.
Racially prejudiced Old white men accused Clinton of being hateful.

Racially prejudiced Old white men accused everyone but themselves of harboring hatred for someone.

So I don't have any problem whatsoever been accused of hatred. Wouldn't be the first time someone didn't know what they were talking about when it comes to me.

But don't confuse my intolerance for self-righteous, white-privileged bigotry for hate. The lot of ya are just upset that I don't have a problem telling you once again, just how unChristlike the behavior of most of you on here continues to be when it comes to race, politics and anyone who doesn't look or think the way that the majority white people on this board do.

    Yep blind as a bat.

Zaac is Zaac 100% of the time. I address it as it rears its ugly head. When your unGodliness rears its head in any form, I don't have a problem addressing it.

So the ultra-piousness crap is just an excuse to make you feel better. When yall inevitably start your foolishness about Hillary Clinton that has nothing to do with Jesus, I'll address that wickedness with the same fervor as I address your wickedness about skin color.

Right. You're phony as a $3 bill all the time. That we can all count on.

Boy! Zaac you are at the top of the list for being self righteous! You have even surpassed your mentor Crabtownboy!

Righteousness is imputed to those who have been redeemed through Jesus Christ.

[But, Self Righteousness does not come from Jesus Christ, it comes from an overblown ego driven by Satan himself! So enough of your self-righteous blather!

Here's a simple thing being overlooked by those who keep saying "the same thing happens in the white community". The difference is (besides a lower rate) that the white community isn't blaming another race for their problems. Yes, both the white and black communities have crime rates that are too high. Yes, they both have families that are falling apart. Yes, they both have high rates of abortion. But the black community is blaming the white community for this, and not vice versa. And therein lies the difference.

I don't mean anything racial by this post. I only want to help. But the first step of any healing program for any problem from any therapist in the world is - quit blaming others for your problems. Man up and do what it takes to change what you don't like.

I'm really surprised to see it still going. Hard to give an intelligent response.

    But I'll try.

About abortion. It's federally protected. I see a lot of Christians fighting wrong headed battles on it. Some states have been able to make some gains, but overall, abortion is a right. I see nowhere in the Bible to make sin, no matter how grave on our eyes, against the law. Nowhere. Sin is not legislated away. We have wasted money & manpower in the wrong fight, when we should be praying, and encouraging others to pray, that God's will be done. That's what we are commanded. A lot of good discussions have been trashed by an ill-timed abortion rant. I wish it didn't happen.

Racism ? Accusing me of benefitting from someone else's enslavement of Africans is like saying you benefitted from Nazi medical experiments on Jews. It doesn't wash. I owe no more to the sin of slavery than the end of slavery owes to me, for my ancestors being from the north. But it is impossible to have a productive discussion about solutions on this board.

Pro-life for the living. I believe Carpro works to secure veteran's benefits. I imagine, if I am correct, he has worked with representatives from all races. O/R, and Padredurand have adopted unwanted children. I have worked in the human services for a long time, making a lot less than if I was in a job that used my A.E.. I would give that all of us tithe and give offerings to missions that run hospitals and improve quality of life all over the world. The "pro-life-for-the-living" is an ignorant judgement. It should be stopped.

Is the consensus explanation for these issues for black people really based on white racism though or are we just letting the usual talking heads speak for them? I get the feeling a lot of people are just posting out of annoyance with Zaac.

I'm with you on most of this but what has been happening in this thread was simply white people pointing out the issues of black people while ignoring their own. Their were no solutions offered or ideas to improve things. Surely you can see that labeling the entire race of black people a race of violent people who have children out of wedlock is a stereotype that isn't helpful or respectful.

I've said the same thing. We keep looking to politicians to do what the Body of Christ is to do by pointing folks to Christ. But when the folks in the Body of Christ seemingly care more about their politics than they do about people, then you'll see this continued pattern of telling people their party is the party of death, or attitudes telling young girls that they don't have the right to make decisions about their bodies, instead of folks pointing them to Christ and away from wrong decisions.

It's especially difficult when those who benefit everyday from white privilege can't acknowledge it.

Some of Peggy MacIntosh's reflections on race. http://jimbuie.blogs.com/journal/2007/11/50-examples-of-.html

When the masses stop opposing many of the attempts to help the poor and needy because the church isn't doing it, then the judgment will stop. Until then, CTB's statement is correct.

That's the stealth of privilege...of course you won't be able to see it. Like evil, there are plenty of evil people but they will almost never admit that they are evil. That's what it means to be in darkness.

    AMEN!!!:applause:

I expect the majority of white people who benefit from white privilege to deny that they benefit.

This is an indication that you didn't read my post. Not going to address this.

Complete hogwash. Only meant to deify the democrat vote. I'm not going to try and reason with hatred.

Get your radar fixed. It's an indication of no such thing as I read your post.

Man I could give a rat's behind about a Democrat vote. And you should know by now that there will never be any reasoning with me when it comes to unGodly wickedness that some of you parade around and wave like a red badge of courage.

So you scream unreasonable and hatred all you like. I'm still gonna call the outright wickedness witnessed on this board to be just that: WICKED.

You're a solid poster here, most of the time. Please tell me you're not joining the CTBoy and Zaac clique.

I will not accept guilt for my skin tone. For cryin' out loud. And the idea that my skin color keeps me ignorant of how my skin color benefits me is crazy. Come up with some solid examples of my racism, or white privilege, or stop with the dancing around.

That's as far as I got. Yer Mr. Funny Man, now. The only thing you base your BS accusation on is our refusal to support team zero.

It has nothing to do with clique but rather conviction. But like CTB and Zaac, I do oppose the blatant disregard for racial sensitivity by carpo and Salty (and some others) and everyone else's unwillingness to address that.

In all honestly, I can come to grips with the fact that everyone will not see eye to eye on issues like this...but it is horrible to see no one (with the exception of kyredneck) call the likes carpo or Salty to the carpet for offending fellow believers. Albeit, i'm sure that offense has been given and taken on both sides of this debate but carpo and Salty's kind (and I see that you are very perceptive) is just blatant.

A lot of us have addressed it. You forgot O/R and RDII. I refuse to stick up for the GOP because of their statements. We should stick to specifics.

It bugs me to see Crabtownboy tell me Paul's writings aren't scripture, that people who won't listen to women preachers are bigots. I wish Zaac and other self-styled crusaders would fight that half as hard as he fights his preferred battles, but he can't, because he won't take Crabtownboy to task. Cliques around here are awful. They make folks look like hypocrites. The only poster I can honestly say seems to treat everyone equally unpleasantly is Van.

And others. I agree. I refuse to stick up for them. likewise, I refuse to be lumped in with them.

Well forgive me for the oversight.
