Here is a news story that seems to come right out of Revelation 17. I am no date setter, but this is certainly interesting.

Yes I've been watching this: It appears to be a definite move in the direction of prophecy being fullfilled.... if not directly then a percursor to end-time events.
Former PM Blair, is definitely a secular leader, and his ambition hasn't abated since his hasty retreat from top office in Britian: Suspicioous is his ambition in courting leadership of the European Union: Also his annoucement of converting to Catholicism: Then his courtship of the Vatican....... also with the leaders of Israel and desire to be a peacemaker. Add to that his desire to bring together the religions of the world. Non of these are by themselves of heavy significance...... but altogether they can't be ignored, though it is still within areas of conjecture.
It is interesting how secular the EU, and globalist in general, are against those who evidence strong affiliation to their religious and spiritual beliefs. True, it is around such strong beliefs that people often divide and have conflict.... but truer still, a spiritually and religiously involved people frequently have values which are resistant to acceptance of every rule of law or morality or ethics which it defines as evil when represented by their government.
I recently heard the report of someone who was taking a stand against the EU being charged with 'blasphemy' by the leadership of the EU. The charge of 'blasphemy' is a religious term denoting an offense to a recognized observance or diety......... and a very very strange charge when recognized and stated by a man-made power or government who represents itself to be 'secular' or 'neutral'.
There are some who would hold that the American Revolution was against the rule of law as taught in the Bible....... and that would have been true had it not been that as Christians, those early revoluntionaries recognized the rule of God over the affairs of man..... and in honoring God, also recognized that God gives free men 'certain unalienable rights' not derived by government permissions. As society drifts towards more secularism, and religion becomes more socially practical and relavant, and rituals substitute for spiritual development and relationship to God, still the strength of appealing to a people through their religious leadership, which represents the beliefs they still exercise, can be a strong force in moving people to accept and comply with restraints by government and evil laws and directives. It is no wonder that a humanistic government, in defending its neutrality towards religion, is actually working for recognition and obesiance by moving to organize the religions of the world into one.
Christians must be on guard..... we're to follow Jesus and honor God: not 'religion': and not any law which is offensive to the commands of God. -
We must definitely be aware of Mr. BLIAR. (spelling mistake intentional).

The uniting of all the worlds religions is an important part of that.
How can anyone miss it??? Not just the uniting of the worlds religions, but many other tragic situations going on in these days. Its all right there in prophecy.
God bless,

Careful! I made that point in another thread I started and it was shut down. RW is protected around here blindly. -

Now that really is curious. The link that I posted earlier had a list of all the founding members with Rick Warren in the list. The Blair Foundation has sense removed it.

Blair will work to unite all religions? Yeah...good luck with that one!

Yeah, cos he's really popular with the Muslims...

As George Galloway said, putting Blair in charge of sorting out peace in the Middle East is like putting Harold Shipman in charge of Help the Aged. (A bit of a sick joke, but you know what he means).

Surely this isn't why Tony Blair ranks #1 on the list of the 100 Worst Britons, is it?

It looks like malaria is one of the first issues they will be tackling and I have seen some very convincing data on how effective and cheap the insecticide infused bed nets are in stemming the malaria tide. I'm not sure how the interfaith element of the organisation will necessarily help in making these nets more available but it is one way that people of faith can make a simple, affordable and dramatic improvement on the suffering in this world.
