I am looking for some ideas for books / booklets to pass out to my congregations. What would you recommend? It is important that these books be cheap ($2.00 or less for each) because I will buy them in bulk and they be readable enough for the common person in the pew. These can be doctrinal or pratical. What do you think? Thanks for your help.

It would be difficult to apply the teachings of a single book to everyone in a congregation. Namely, because of the varying levels of education and indwelling power of God's Spirit in each member. What do you personally think they need in the way of reading material?

Radio Bible Class, the same group that produces the Daily Bread, has a series of booklets that are inexpensive but good for answering questions on a number of topics that many perple have. Most are even available on the web for your preview. And they can be purchased in bulk.

I have no idea about the cost in bulk, but "Fresh Wind, Fresh FIre" by the pastor of the Brooklyn Tabernacle is incredible.
As far as a very inexpensive (I here the groans by those who disagree) booklet is "Trail of Blood". It is about the hostory of the Baptists. -

For good materials that are 'free' or 'next to nothing', take a look at this online catalog:
