As CNN just reported, Marco Rubio is the latest to rally his support behind Trump. As they report: Marco Rubio says he plans to attend the Republican convention, will release his delegates to vote for Donald Trump and would be willing to speak on Trump’s behalf.
“I want to be helpful. I don’t want to be harmful, because I don’t want Hillary Clinton to be president,” Rubio told CNN’s Jake Tapper in an interview.
“Look, my policy differences with Donald Trump — I spent 11 months talking about them. So I think they’re well understood,” Rubio said. “That said … I don’t want Hillary Clinton to be president. If there’s something I can do to help that from happening, and it’s helpful to the cause, I’d most certainly be honored to be considered for that.”
Aw yes the Establishment 2nd choice is now endorsing the establishments 3rd choice. Since the new leader of the GOP says he doesn't need or want my vote I will honor the establishment wish and take my vote with me.
#NEVERTRUMP
Aw yes, we know your devotion to the #nevertrump movement. Hope you know then that taking your vote away from the GOP is of no real value, except to the Hillary campaign. In fact, therein, the #nevertrump movement amounts to nothing more than unwittingly being an accomplice to the left-wing agenda. But I’m sure they appreciate your devotion to taking your vote toward their “movement”.
What's funny about this is, like preachingjesus indicates, if I said I was voting for Sanders, the liberals would berate me for not getting behind Clinton and helping Trump get elected....
(so no one's confused, I would never vote for Sanders or Clinton. Just pointing out the absurdity of the "thrown-away vote")
So far it looks like I have 3 votes to hand out since not voting for Trump is a vote for Clinton, not voting for Clinton is a vote for Trump and I can still vote for the candidate of my choice. What an election year.
The death of the 2 party system is about time but we will see of it manages
to pull through this year. A lot of that depends on Sanders and his supporters and the true Conservatives sticking with their principles.
Uh huh that's why Kasich who is pure establishment kept in the race until Trump hit 1237 to try to spoil it for him and then win at the convention... oh wait he dropped out right after the true antiestablishment candidate did giving Trump the establishment 3rd pick a clear path to win. They picked him they own the consequences of that pick.
If you were a member of the Democratic - and Clinton became the nominee - and YET you voted for Sanders in the general election - it would indeed help the Trump campaign. Talk about "foolish" some of you guys need to slow down and smell the roses.
That said, as a Republican I encourage ALL Sanders supporters to join the #NEVERHILARY movement. Write in Sanders name if you must and pretend there is a 3rd party. Yeah, that's a GREAT idea!! And thank them for their support!! :)
It's sad how little conviction any of these folks have when it comes to their political careers. What little respect I had for Rubio I just lost. You don't say the things that he said and then turn around and support Trump. EVen more reason for his delegates to support anyone but Trump.
Ok well there is not one single position he holds that is establishment. The establishment hates him and is trying to talk Romney into running on a third party ticket. But....you are welcome to hold any belief you want.
Factsheet are stubborn things. The GOPe decided that a democrat in a Republican jersey was better then a true Conservatives antiestablishment and had their guy Kasich dropen out once Cruz did.
Therefore the establishment picked him and is backing him. Ironic the media had him picked as Hilary rival months ago, took the establishment a little bit of time to take their cues from the media but they did.
And now I'm just supposed to vote for this Democrat in a R jersey. I don't think so. Again the establishment picked him (3rd choice) they now have to deal with the aftermath.
First, there is no evidence that the establishment picked Trump. The timing of Kasichs dropping out is in no way evidence of anything other than Kasich saw he had no path. Kasich, Cruz, and Rubio all held on to their delegates until yesterday when Rubio, on his own accord, decided to release his.
Second, your "therefore the establishment" is not a "therefore" in fact it is a question begging fallacy. One does not lead to the other.
I'm sure that Trump's golfing buddy had nothing to do with Kasich getting out right after Cruz (aka lucefer) did. It just happened that way. All the endorsement from party bigwigs was just happened. Nope I don't buy it. Kasich whole job was to spoil Cruz chance of winning at the convention. Cruz was the person they feared and they decided a democrat was better then a true Conservatives. Well this Conservatives can read when she is not wanted. Trump has made it clear that he neither wants nor needs my vote and I don't owe the GOPe anything. They picked him they can deal with it.
Neither am I. I just recognized the facts and find it ironic on a lot of levels. I said from the beginning I would never vote for Trump and I am a women of my word. #NEVERTRUMP
