Do you have a source other than The Sun? Thats even worse than World Net Daily :)

BTW, don't click on any links on the site. You might be surprised at what you see :).

Welcome to the future US of A; IF we don't get some common sense back into our society!!!

Unfortunately the prospect of such does not look real promising right now.

I think it's actually a valid question as to whether anyone in a certain building or area thereof knows how to use an extinguisher to the extent that its presence is more likely to help than hurt. But that can be accomplished by training.

For the record here, how many know you can properly indentify the type(s) of fire an extinguisher can put out and how to go about using it? [I have been trained and certified by having to actually extinguish a fire.]

I think back in the early 60's a man took about 10 minutes going over it. about 15 years later I used it as I was passing by to put out a car fire. Over the years I've read the codes and marking, so it isn't a hard thing to use, or in my book it isn't.

Looking at my own fire extinguisher, it says:

    1) Pull pin. Hold upright.

    2) Stand back 6 feet. Aim at base of fire.

    3) Squeeze lever and sweep side to side.

Yeah, I think I can manage that.

More dumbing down of the average citizen.

    love,
