    Broward Sheriff Scott Israel was removed from office by new Florida Governor Ron DeSantis last week. He replaced him with former Coral Springs Police Sgt. Gregory Tony. Sgt. Tony has a background in active-shooter training and becomes the first black sheriff in Broward County’s history.
