Nowhere does the word of God say, "Lamb slain before the foundation of the world." See John 17:24; 1 Peter 1:20; compare Revelation 13:8; Hebrews 9:26 and Luke 11:50.

Hmm, how then was anyone saved before Jesus Christ came in the flesh in the fulness of time?
Christ/Messiah was revealed at least partially from the beginning.

Did the spirits of the lost and the saved go to the same place?

    Just wondering.

That is not entirely accurate.

One of the primary meanings of ἀπὸ is "before." It is more common to translate it "from" but "before" is also acceptable.

    Rev 13:8

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slainfrom the foundation of the world.

This is where , the only verse, they get it.
Does it refer to the names or the Lamb? Can you tell from the Greek? I have seen it used both ways on the board

Ah, no and yes. Everyone who died prior to Christ's ascension when to Hades. The upper or lower place (Deuteronomy 32:22; Luke 16:19-31). Also there is a difference between before and from/since.

2 Thessalonians 3:2 disagrees with you. If one has faith, they’re saved, seeing we are saved by grace through faith. No faith, no grace. No grace, no salvation.

Hades as a generic place of the dead. The righteous were separated from the unrighteous. The righteous were allowed in Heaven after the Crucifixion

Lost ppl have no faith in God. That’s what faith is usually(if not always) being referred to. Having faith in your wife is not the same as having faith in God. Just like you love God, but it’s not the same love you have for your wife. The love you have for your wife is not the same love you have for your parents, &c.

Continuously rude? That’s taking it a bit far. I may come off brusque, but not continually.

Enoch was not with the Christ.

It said Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. [Genesis 5:24] Took Him where? To be with Him.

This poster is trying to create a false difference as it comes to faith. There's a difference in relationships with different parties but never a difference in faith. Faith is merely believing something to be substantially true . Your faith in a spouse is linked to the integrity they've demonstrated and also their good character. No different with God. The gospels reveal God is good and has total integrity...one can rest knowing they can have faith in him the same way you would towards a spouse.

If God took him, then I don’t think He took him to hades.

It does in the English Standard Version (ESV). But that's about it, at least among popular, orthodox translations. It's one of the reasons Calvinists like the ESV.

No. That Greek translates as "from/since." The Greek for "before" is προ.

    Actually after Christ's ascension (Hebrews 9:12, 24).
