Please look at the " quotation" marks.

    Yes, spiritually.

    Isaiah 42:1-4.
    Matthew 3:16.
    Matthew 12:18.
    Isaiah 11:1-9.
    Romans 8:9.

The Spirit is also interchangeably in Christ and in His people.
The Father is "in" the Son, and the Son is "in" the Father...John 14:10-20.
They are all one "in the Spirit".

God's people are all united by the Spirit, and the Godhead is the same way.

They exist outside of Jesus, correct?

Because I believe that the Bible teaches that God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit and God's people are all interconnected by His Spirit?
OK, if that's the comparison you'd like to make.

    But I disagree.
    Yes, of course.

Read John 14 for a bit of both.

His Spirit is a Person, correct?

Does the Scripture not say that?

    " And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 [even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you."
    ( John 14:16-17 ).

I see that it does, as His word describes the Spirit as "He" and "Him".:)

Can you provide a link to that information as everything that I can find says the extended version did not exist for him to quote.

"I and the Father are one"
"And these three are one" are the Biblical quotes.

Sorry I forgot to add the first quotation so I edited the post to include it.
My point was that is what was in Cyprian's Bible. The words "quoted".

    Oh.
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.
. . . YHWH our God, YHWH is one.

There is only one YHWH. And He is the only God. And there is no other YHWH God.

And....? YHWH is a trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

I see that Cyprian was quoting from both John 10:30 and 1 John 5:7.

    I did.
    Cyprian:

" He who breaks the peace and the unity of Christ, is an opponent of Christ. He who gathers anywhere than in the Church, scatters the Church of Christ. The Lord says, “I and the Father are one; ” [John 10:30] and again it is written of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, “These three are one.” [1 John 5:7 - an interpolation not included in modern translations.] <--- No idea why they thought it useful to include that part in brackets, as it is included in many Bibles, and some of them are indeed modern tramslations.

Cyprian on Church Unity | Christian History Institute

    1) " I and [my] Father are one." ( John 10:30 ) <---- "my" is in italics in the AV, which indicates that it is not part of the text.
So, the reading without the italics would look like this:

" I and [] Father are one." or, "I and the Father are one" <--- Same quote.

    2) " For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." ( 1 John 5:7 ). <----- Same quote ( "these the three one are" in the Greek ).
" οτι τρεις εισιν οι μαρτυρουντες εν τω ουρανω ο πατηρ ο λογος και το αγιον πνευμα και ουτοι οι τρεις εν εισιν" <---- TR Greek

" And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one." ( 1 John 5:8 ). <------ Different quote ( " the three into the one are " in the Greek ).
" και τρεις εισιν οι μαρτυρουντες εν τη γη το πνευμα και το υδωρ και το αιμα και οι τρεις εις το εν εισιν" <--- TR Greek

But this thread was created to show passages in God's word regarding the "Trinity" ( "Tri-unity" ),
not whether or not 1 John 5:7 is legitimate.
To me it is, and it represents one of the key passages that describe Father, Son and Holy Spirit...the Godhead, and it does so with clarity.

This will be my last reply in this thread.
I wish you well, and God's blessings to each of you.:)
