When the parents do everything according to the law, and they don't have to live their life looking over their shoulders for INS to come and arrest and deport them, the results are amazing.
How proud the Hispanic community can be when legal immigration works as it is meant to. How proud the family can be for having a daughter become the first Latina Judge sworn into office, and as she said before those present at her swearing in, “It isn’t really a story about my family. It's really a story about the American dream.”
No truer words have been spoken as she is not the only member of her family to make the most of the American dream! Her brother Miguel is County Counsel for Santa Clara County and sister, Leticia Marquez-Magana, is a biology professor at Cal State San Francisco.
This family is an example of how legal immigration is meant to work. And I, for one, commend the parents and each of the children for succeeding and contributing to this melting pot society we call America! :applause::applause::applause:
