I have always maintained (at the risk of sounding New Age) that God loves music, and that all creation is a song. So when someone shared this link with me, I was amazed to hear this.
This link will take you to a page where a man recorded crickets, then slowed them down to be 'human speed'. Essentially, the ratio of a cricket's lifespan to a humans. There are harmonies, and bass parts. It is incredible.
When I first clicked on the link, I would have guessed the "voices" were a human choir, humming or "ooohing" -- that is truly amazing.
I can't help but wonder, is the higher melody the females, and the baritone and bass lines the males? What an awesome testimony of God's workmanship!
Reminds me that, in Ephesians 2:10 where the major translations use "workmanshiip," the word is the Greek poiema, which in traditional Greek has meant "masterpiece" for thousands of years.
That is truly beautiful.
Have you heard the planets "sing?"
I can't remember where I heard it, but there is a clip of space sounds and all the planets have their own "song."
If anyone has a link, please post it.
It's so amazing how creation makes music to the Lord!
