Eph 2 .8.9 Salvation is the gift not faith . Even John Calvin conceded that. Every English school teacher will show you the construction of that sentence its not the ' faith which is the Gift .

1¶Therefore being justified by FAITH we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. -

Jesus answered and said to them, 'This is the work of [the] God, that ye may believe in him whom He did send.' -
John 6:28-29 NLT
[28] They replied, "We want to perform God's works, too. What should we do?"
[29] Jesus told them, "This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent." -

Ok then . We are ' known ' intimately . Galations 4
8¶Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
9But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
When we first believe ( not before we are created ) Then we are predestined to future glorification. ( Guaranteed because of some Gnostic election in the mind of God before the foundation of the world? Too which we could never know we are one of the frozen chosen apart from our works , no but because we are sealed by the Holy spirit until the day of redemption. -

27¶Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. -

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
