Back in the days when the Church set down rules for war I think that all Sundays and major holy days were truce days.

From Oh Holy Night:
"In 1914, all attempts to prevent any Christmas truce had failed.
Pope Benedict XV had proposed to the warring parties
that they should “cease the clang of arms while
Christendom celebrates the Feast of the World's Redemption.”

Germany provisionally accepted that proposal but
the rejection by the other ‘Christian’ countries ensured
the death of this peace initiative. The kingdoms
of this world had other ideas.
