Yea...lol.....well ive got it on good authority that there are a whole handfull of people who would perfer not to see that stuff in church....but we don't like green carpet either:laugh:
silly me, I thought caving in to the world - which is what you said EW&F - would be preaching a health and wealth gospel or not exercising church discipline or having a welcoming and affirming stance towards gays.
But I guess all those things begin with Christmas trees and kids having fun at an Easter egg hunt.:BangHead:
Kids having fun.....I thought they were being exposed to scripture....isn't that what you said....
Do you also carve pumpkins and have tricks & treats for Halloween?
If so, what technique do you use to bring scripture to them?
So no one can have fun learning the Bible. And you're right, we do "trunk or treat" on halloween. We have given dvd's of the Jesus Film, tracts and met people who had never been to church.
History shows us that Christians have faced troubling times with substantial persecution and personal danger over the years.
Seeing seven pages passionately discussed about Easter egg hunts makes me realize that we have it pretty good here in the States.
Histoy shows that Protestant Christians have died for not bowing to the Pope of Rome, and His "Easter."
Yet now, if you reject the Pope's Calendar and His decreed Days, you are treated as a fool and mocked.
Why do some people make it their business to look for what is wrong in every church and then use that as an excuse for not attending church? Again, thank God they don't attend anywhere. They are the ones who make it miserable for everyone else.
