What would you think of a Clintion/Clinton (Hillary/Bill) ticket.
1. Is it legal (ie constitional)
2. Do you think they could win?

Wouldn't happen. The Democrats would oppose it, and the press would eat them for breakfast. Not a good idea.

Not sure about the constitutionality. I think there has at least been a consensus that the vice-president must be able to serve as the president.
-
You'd think that if they had any sense at all Hillary would talk Obama into a running mate slot, align now, and unite together instead of all the fighting then kiss & make up after the convention (Hillary is kissable, right?:tonofbricks: ) for their fight against the GOP...
Politics is a strange critter...

I believe Bill would have to resign if President Hillary couldn't do her duties. Don't see where he could constitutionally serve.
But then, I define "is" a bit differently.. -
Article XXII says in section 1 " No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or ascted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other perosn was elected President shall be elected to te office of the President more than once.
"
The Constitution says you can not be elected President more than twice. Actually, Bill could be elected as Veep. Sounds like a loophole to me.

That was gross! -
Now let's see, if Hillary becomes a 2-term President, will Chelsea be getting close to 35? She could then take the mantle. -
If the voters were set enough on one person being president continually, all that is required is to run someone else with that person as candidate for VP and the "president" resigns as soon as he or she is inaugurated. The one elected President with no intention of serving could not be forced to resign, but supposedly he or she would be required before this arrangement to sign an affidavit to that effect, so could be charged with perjury, which would qualify as a crime worthy of impeachment.
-
...but really, she is not an unattractive lady on the outside... -
She would never be seen as "in charge". And Bill's massive ego would not allow her to actually be "in charge". -
Bill's too busy with his...other...activities to get into the political stuff anymore.

Can you imagine what it would be like for him to be the first "First Man". Every move he makes would documented for posterity because of his gender-specific role. He knows that, too!!
Why the man wouldn't be able to "poot" without it being on the national news! -
If a Hillary/Obama ticket happens, it will happen much, much later. They both need to build their fan base as large as possible, then unite, with the stronger one being the headliner.
Not that I want it to happen, but it's the sensible way if they want to win. -
There is another constitutional issue ... that president and vice-president may not be from the same state. Presumably both are now legally residents of New York.
I think it would not be acceptable to the voters. The public would see it as a total power grab. -
It doesn't take long to change legal residency in most places. Here, it takes a year, but I think this is an exception.

ARTICLE II Section 1 ...(3rd para) The Electors shall meeting in their respective States, and vote by ballot for two person, of whom one at least shall not be an inhabitant of the same State with themselves...
But the easy way would be for Bill to re-establish residency in Ark.
If there are loopholes leave it to Bill to use it.

Technically conforming to the letter of the law while ripping the heart out of its clear intent. Hmmm, sounds like something right up Bill and Hillary's alley!
But I would be stunned if even they would attempt to pull it off.
