I wasn't feeling well at all today, so I did absolutely nothing!
It was warm and sunny outside, but when my teeth hurt, I can't enjoy anything!
I can't chew and I'm drinking everything through a straw. Maybe I can lose some weight!
Pleasant dreams all!

mc, that sounds like fun! I love lighthouses, and always have. They are so beautiful, so picturesque (sp?) and so thought provoking. When I was a teen a guy gave me one of the most beautiful paintings of one. Thanks for reminding me of him with that post. :D :D :D :D
Moving along now...
LOL
I'm TIRED and can't get over it. I have a LOT of writing to catch up on, but my brain has to be organized to do the assignment required and I just haven't been able to. Writer's block! AGH! -
Good morning all,
Despite everything, I did get a wonderful night's sleep. PTL!
It is sunny right now with a temp of 48º, heading for a high of 74º, with a chance of rain showers this afternoon.
Today is laundry day, so I will have soap suds in the yard! The man from the sewer department did not come back Friday and let me know which way the sewer line runs and we can't call anyone to fix the broken tile until he does. I guess I'll have to make some phone calls today...
Time for coffee,

Morning all...it is still morning here I guess....
Viv finally went to her new schedule today. 6am-2:30pm. I hope this works out better for her. I know that she is tired of the schedule changes. She'd like to find another job, but right now that wouldn't be advantageous.
We went to one of our classes for Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University last evening at the Methodist church...Fellowship Church they call themselves. It was a pretty good class. Four couples and the instructor. Some were members of the church, and they wanted us to come back next Sunday morning, or at least come there until the classes are over. We thanked them and told them we were still looking and we may visit. I'm not sure we will.
I went out today since it was cooler outside and mowed around the house and down the drive. I didn't get to use the weed-eater or the push mower. Viv's going to have to do that and finish up the rest of the yard. I did about 5/8 of the yard.
Well, I need to go and try to find something to eat for lunch.
Ya'll have a good day!

Can't wait for the 'regular' to show up on the shelf. -
I left DDP after I got hooked on Diet Vanilla Coke. Now I can't find it anywhere so instead of going back to DDP, I am now drinking Coke Zero.
I am going to buy some Diet DP Berries and Cream the next time I get to the store - if I can find it.
I didn't like the cherry-vanilla at all!
Time for bed all...hoping I can sleep after reading the "Bedbug" thread in this forum....
Pleasant dreams all,

MK, anytime you want to learn how to additional repair work just give me a call. I have a garage, tools and a very old truck!
My buddy and I were just talking about traveling. He loses more money in his sofa cushions than I make. We were comparing how we make travel plans. He goes online and locates the hotels and restaurants at his destination. I go online to locate the nearest AutoZone or NAPA. Changed a brake caliper in less than 30 minutes in a Motel 6 parking lot just last month! -
Good morning all,
Hi gekko and welcome to the CGCH! Since everything is virtual, we have anything you would like stocked in the fridge or on the counter. Just take what you want but clean up after yourself!
padre: I go online and make reservations at the closest motel to my destination so I don't get lost going back and forth between the two of them!
It is coolish here this morning and we're expecting showers and thunderstorms today. It looks like we will be inside most of the day.
Time for coffee,

Good morning everyone!
Leastwise, I'm hoping it will be a good morning. Bitsy got ahead of herself and got too active this weekend and yesterday and now she is back to feeling bad again. I sent her to school anyway with orders not to play in PE or on the playground today. Told her the mono was going to make her feel bad anywhere she happened to be so she might as well go on to school and at least she wouldn't be bored. Am I a bad mama?
Then I took myself off to the thrift store to look for jeans for Cassie. I hit the jackpot and came out with 8 pairs of jeans and 2 pairs of capris plus some stuff for the other kids! All for $40! Can't complain about that.
Now I'm home and should be cleaning the kitchen and getting ready to sew, but instead I'm drinking coffee and wishing the crick in my neck and shoulder would go away.
Don't know what the weather is supposed to do here. It looks like it is going to rain. That'd be par for the course considering I added water to the pool yesterday. If I'd known it was going to rain, I wouldn't have bothered.
Ya'll have a good day!
Oh gekko, the capichino/latte machine is in the cabinet over the refridgerator. Most of us is to lazy to use it. ;) -
WHEW!
I've been researching since 8am. Took a short lunch break, time for class in a minute.
I didn't realize how far behind I was in my one research paper. :( I'll have to do this on Thursday too. I was granted grace until Friday morning, at 9am, to have this stuff done.
MK, I did some second hand shopping myself about a week ago and was able to find some decent dresses for the girls. It's so hard to find anything appropriate in the regular stores. My pet peave was only finding those hipster jeans and pants. I still haven't found any! Even the capris and such seem to be that style, so I guess they'll be wearing what they have and the dresses. (I don't put them in shorts unless they're staying home)
It's TOUGH finding kids clothes. My daughter wanted a skirt and I ended up making it, because I couldn't find any appropriate ones in her size.
Gekko, you named my two favorite drinks! Two cheers for expensive tastes! (and three for a town that doesn't have these anywhere, so I don't go broke buying them!)
I have to go now. :( I can't wait for bedtime tonight! -
Here are the pix I've got loaded so far from that sweet little Outer Banks trip I took.
Gina -- I'm so glad you got a good memory out of it!
Bitsy's 8th graders on 2006 Outer Banks trip -
Gina -- that researching for hours is hard work. I can't tell you how much I wish I didn't understand how painful it is! (oooooo but I do . . .)

Bitsy, it looks like everyone had a good time and you took some beautiful pictures. I was hoping you would be in one of them though...
Afternoon all,
Not much going on here as it is rainy and windy. Brent has, alternately, been jumping on his trampoline and reading the Hardy Boys series of books that I bought him off of eBay. He had never heard of them and he loves them, so I'm going to try and find him some more. I only bought him five and they have about 30 out.
Almost time to start on supper.
HAGE all!
§ue -
Love the pics, Bitsy! Looks like everyone had a great time.
I have been working all day on a devotion I will be giving on Thursday at our Ladies Luncheon. I just love the book by Phillip Keller, "A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23," and have decided to do the devotion based on the book. Has anyone else read it?
Well, back to work for the finishing touches. Have a good evening, everyone. -
 Gasp! Never heard of Hardy Boy mysteries! Sue, how could you let that happen?!!
Can you tell I grew up reading Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew?
I think there are more than just 30 out, because sometime not too long ago new writers started coming out with books in the series. I know they did this for the Nancy Drew ones, they were called "Nancy Drew Notebooks" or some such thing. I'm pretty sure they did this for the Hardy Boys too.
How about Tom Swift books? I've gotten these off Ebay for Chris (who doesn't actually read them unless I make him). There are two series of these. The old ones are rather expensive but the newer ones aren't. They are mysteries but with a sci fi slant. (50's sci fi slant)
I need to be starting supper but that would entail getting up from this computer and I don't want too! I'm tired tonight. I haven't gotten nearly enough done today, but I'm still tired!
Umm, Sue, ummm, I'm not sure I'd eat whatever that smiley is cooking in that cauldron....it might not be safe! ;)
Bitsy, looks like everyone had a good time! I love the horses!
My Bitsy has been asleep all evening. Sigh, I guess we'll go back to the doctor. Doggone it! She was supposed to be well by this time. -
Gwen: I have that book. My cousin gave it to me when I got saved over 30 years ago. I still read it every year. I love it!
Cindi: I put something in that cauldron that makes my 'guys' believe they love to wash dishes.
I've been taking aspirin and using Orajel for two days now. I need to have a tooth pulled, before it gets infected, but the broken sewer line has to be fixed first. The money only goes so far...
HAGN and pleasant dreams all!
I was awake most of the night so I'm praying for a restful night's sleep tonight.
Instead of counting sheep, I'm going to talk to the Shepherd!

Good morning all
Well, we've had some storms early evening and then into this morning. They're gone, but there is another round moving in.
MK, I grew up reading Hardy Boys and even the Nancy Drew mysteries. In fact, I'm reading a Nancy Drew mystery currently.
Sue, I know about money only going so far. We're trying to change bank accounts right now because of someone using our financial info for their own gain. It made us sick...this is the 2nd time since we've lived down here in Bedford County. We're ready to move back to Rutherford or even Wilson County. The Bedford County Sheriff's office is pretty much useless in helping to apprehend the offender. We're getting to see why most people won't move into Bedford, though the property is less expensive here.
Viv and I are supposed to go to a family reunion in Augusta on June 2nd. It's my nephews graduation, too. But, we're not sure that is going to transpire. Viv's work schedule has changed and it's just really hard to have her take off a day and potentially ruin her overtime that week, which they are already scheduled for. It would cost us upwards to $300 for the weekend and travel to and fro, and then the time lost at work would add another $200. That's expensive for a reunion. Don't get me wrong, I love my family, and my aunt and uncle and cousins are going to be there. My uncle is in ill health and it may be the last time I ever get to see him. But sometimes there isn't anything one can do. It's definitely NOT going on the credit cards. We're trying hard now to pay them off so we can cut them up and send them back and close the accounts.
Sue, I hope you get that tooth pulled soon. If it absesses...well...swish some peroxide around in your mouth three times a day. Just a cap full will do. Leave it in for at least a minute.
Ya'll have a great day!
Bro. T -
Good day!
I never get toothache. At least, I have never heard them complain from the glass they are in at the night.
Lovely weather here, but expecting four days of rain starting Thursday afternoon.
Cheers,
Jim -
The weather is lovely here too. Bright and sunny but not too hot. Weather forecast is for a change at the weekend tho'. Irises are in bloom. I am looking forward to chopping down the daffodils as they look so untidy now, but we have had a wonderful display this year and still have some in flower.
Blessings
