Yes, since the government is bound by the Constitution. God was commanding we individuals to do those things, not a government.
If we as a nation want the government to do those things, then we need to amend the government's constitution.

So, you are saying that even when the Government acts like a Government of the people (individuals) it's wrong???
-
Charity comes from the heart not taxation and redistribution is that what you are saying Ken?
-
Individuals are wrong to so something government is commanded to do.
The Church is wrong to do something that the government is commanded to do.
The government wrong to do something that the church is commanded to do. -
If we are not going to follow the constitution, who says what the government can and cannot do?
The man with the biggest gun, just like most of the world.
Let's start thinking like Christian Americans. -

In spite of what the negative opinion that the Libertarians like Paul have about marriage and the life of the unborn child, they are not a factor even on the left. Marriage has to be protected by a constitutional amendment or activist judges and Libertarians like Paul will destroy it.
As for foreign aid, the Constitution Party in its cruelty and willingness to deal death in order to save money for themselves--you know that they are not going to contribute to any charities for Sudan or Israel since they never even speak a kind word for those two nations--there are of course dead wrong that foreign aid is unconstitutional. Modern foreign aid could be said to date from FDR, a Democrat, and that makes this issue very painful for the CP since a Democrat victory in November is prerequisite for the CP's planned destruction of the GOP and the federal government and the remolding of American society along the lines of far right wing hatred and repression so evident in the personal attacks launched by the right wing here with the advice and consent of the moderators who consider any criticism of the advertisement of the CP on this board a violation of the rule of happy talk only unless it is the talk of a CP member assaulting a Republican. Personal insults and assaults against Republicans are called holy by the CP. -

If he is so sincere, why is he a member of the Libertarian Party? He is a nutcase.
-
He is not a member of the Libertarian Pary. Ron Paul is a member in good standing with your party, cmg, the Republican Party, because he goes along with the Republican Party leadership on procedural issues in the House and he is always on the side of smaller government whenever the GOP decides to be on the side of smaller government as well.
-
CMG has Ron Paul, defender of life, as a pro-abort.
STRIKE one!
And a mamber of the Libertarian party.
STRIKE two!
CME, you may be the strike-out king of all time, considering the things you have posted over the last few months.
Don't let your hatred of Christians in politics cause you to speak lies. -

I think the line about hatred of Christians in politics is worn-out. Firstly, it is a false charge. Secondly, the CP always assigns the term Holy or Godly to every chicken dinner that the CP holds to raise money. Thirdly, I am happy that the CP are not sinners.
You know, the GOP had a major Christian candidate for President in John Ashcroft, now Attorney General of the USA. Also, Evangelicals look to Republican Senator from Kansas Sam Brownback. -
When did Ashcroft enter the race?
Don't you think that a vote for Ashcroft will be a vote for Kerry? -

Ashcroft was a candidate in 2000. He is the best Attorney General of the USA ever.
A vote for Peroutka is not a vote for Kerry although there are close ties between losers. Peroutka serves to drain the far right from the GOP. The GOP left isolation forever in 1940 with Wendell Wilkie, mentioned by Zell Miller in the speech in New York City that the Democrats cannot answer. Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, a day that will live in infamy according to FDR, ended isolation for all Americans except the teeny-tiny far right represented by Peroutka. -
Since you had your facts wrong about Ron Paul, and haven't admitted it, why should we believe anything you write here, church mouse guy?

Hey, Ken, you are the one who said that Paul was a Libertarian. I like Mrs. Paul's fish, but I don't care for Libertarian Party support for same-sex and polygamous marriages and for abortion on demand. I think that the GOP should throw Paul out of the caucus.
As for the CP, they are an isolationist party that wants to cut off foreign aid for some reason or another and the CP wants to end the war in Iraq as illegal although only the Communist Party agrees that the war is illegal. Peroutka has personal problems for which one can sympathize, but there is no reason to vote for anyone except George W. Bush, the best candidate. -

For some reason I am not surprised. -

Hey, the GOP is a political party.
Paul belongs to another political party. He should stay with his own party. His party is reprehensible.
Guiliani, who gave such a great speech in New York City, is a Republican. Specter is also a Republican and Santorium has given Specter support in this race as the only one who can win in Pennsylvania. As for Arnold, he gave a great speech in New York City telling what it meant to be an American and to be a Republican.
We Republicans are united 100% behind George W. Bush as the best hope for the security and prosperity of America!
