Hello everyone,
On occasion I vist different Bible boards I ran across a board devoted to the Dake Bible.
http://www.dakebibleboard.com/
One of the administrators(Sheepherder) there is a Baptist minister of this Church
http://www.pilotgrovebaptistchurch.org/
he also claims to be teaching from the Dake Bible at his Church and also hawking Dake Bibles

My question to you is the Dake Bible considered heresy. Why are Baptist ministers allowed to be teaching from it. Are we becoming Pentecostal?
Dake Bible?

From checking the website, the Dake is a just a KJV (King James Version) with 35,000 (!) footnotes and 500,000 (!!) cross-references. That makes me a bit suspicious. That many notes tells me you would just be getting someone else's opinion of what the Bible means. You can learn more on your own with a thourough reading, a few good reference books and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Another major red flag was this (from the site):
Money Orders or Checks
SHOULD BE MADE PAYABLE TO: Pastor Rob Etherton
With that and all the other merchandise they're hawking on the site, at first glance it appears to more about money than about God. -
Info on the Dake Bible can be found here http://www.apologeticsindex.org/d47.html
Are our Pastors being reviewed on what they are teaching? -
jakes,
If one is teaching from Dake's, then he should be reviewed. Do a web search on him, and I think you will be amazed at the stuff he believed.
In Christ,
