My daughter in law, Pam, finally got her mother (Joyce)talked into going to the doctor today, she's and what looks like pneumonia for a over a month.
They foun d out she has a very large mass and several small ones on her lungs, and are sure it's cancer, they want a biopsie to see what kind and how long she has. They told her if she'd gone to the doctro 6 months ago they could have helped her, but can't now. She's only 53, and raised her kids almost by herself because of a really lousy husband, the kids are close to her. Pam and he brother (Steven) really need prayer. And my poor grandbabies are going to grow up with only one grandma, they've never known of someone dying before, and they are only 2, 3 and 4 years old, they won't even remember Joyce, just what people tell them about her. This is horrorable for a grandmother.

Joyce will actually see the lung specialist tomorrow, we are hoping for some answers of some kind then, sure he will want to make an appointment for a biopsy.
-
Her left lung has collapsed, the right isn't working well, she is breathing at 50%, surgery of any kind out of the question. Will do a biopsy on the 20th, tests next week to see if it has spread to the lymph nodes, he believes it has. It is definatly worse then expected. Pam is a mess, what I suspect she isn't saying, or can't say, my Robert will get it from her Robert(our son) and step dad, is that she hasn't got very long at all. Joyce is never to be alone now, becasue of the coughing up large amounts of blood, the doctor hard coughing could make it start and not stop. I'll have the kids more now as Pam wants to spend as much time as possible with her mother, and I don't blame her, but the kids can not watch nannie die, I've told her I'd go over and cook and clean when she expects to be gone from home.
She is happy God has blessed them with them finding out today from the finacial office at the hopsital that theres a program they can get Joyce in that will pay all her bills at this hospital, but her biopsy will be in Bowling Green and they'll have to apply there too. This leaves only individual doctor bills and at least one is an old family friend and will probably not charge.
Pam's step dad is really messed up over it and doesn't know what to do.
We covet your prayers, this fmaily needs peace, and my grandkids need God to help them through this, they are only 2,3 and 4 (5 in July), and the oldest onw knows somethings wrong with nannie. -
