It is apparent that all of the criticisms by Calvinists have not actually read Dave Hunt's book or watched his video.
So here's the full version of Dave Hunt's video on refuting Calvinism so those who oppose him (or support him) can ACCURATELY quote him.

Mex, reading a book to challenge, learn or even disagree with is rarely a waste of time.

I have the book, and it is not a "waste of time".

Well, if you have the time... I suppose not- I don't. I usually read the reviews of people I trust before taking the time.

I too love reading reviews, Amazon has often been a great source of book reviews. But I don't always allow some less than stellar reviews prevent me from reading something I might find interesting.
To be sure, we are all biased to or away from some books and even authors.

This was a great message.
I will pay more attention to Dave Hunt, he seems to know what he is talking about.
Thanks!

The whole volume....NO, some of it yes. ( And that was actually BEFORE I had any bias)
25 or so years ago.

From one of the pages cited:
In effect, he says Calvinism is a different gospel.
And he's right. The Gospel of Calvinism and the gospel of noncalvinism are diametrically opposed and irreconcilable.

People love to say that, but it just isn't true. Calvinism is a system to explain the Gospel, not the Gospel itself. The Gospel never changes.

But you would agree that there are two faiths correct? Or more appropriately 2 different understandings of the gospel.... one being Synergistic the other Monergistic?

So with your bias firmly in place, would you now read a book like Doctrines of Grace, written by JM Boice to get a 1st hand understanding of the DoG?

There is only one faith.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Eph. 4:4,5
The Calvinists are saved in spite of their misunderstanding of the Gospel, the non-Calvinists are saved because of the Gospel.

There can only be one faith. Only one way to come to Christ. How men interpret the mechanics of salvation is what the C-A debate is all about. Non-calvinists believe most (if not all) of the five points to some degree but just aren't willing to admit that man has nothing to do with salvation, which it is in it's entirety an act of God. They stumble at the fact that "whosoever will" is superseded by "whom He will".
Salvation is not "fire insurance".
