David Duke is no longer relevant Crabbie but you left out the good part of the story!
Furthermore, Scalise is going nowhere!
I don't recall Duke being the top advisor to any Republican president as uber racist Al Sharpton is to Obama! What you might more appropriately ask Crabbie is why Sharpton reportedly owes more than $4 million in income tax and still is a most frequent guest of Obama.
The democrat party is the epitome of hypocrisy.
They have played the race card for years as Crabbie is now.
They claim to care about the young and helpless yet they endorse and celebrate the slaughter of the youngest and most helpless, the unborn child. Crawl back in Crabbie!
I would add that one must question Duke's motives.
Is he trying to put the kiss of death on Scalise?
That Southern policy served the democrat party for almost 100 years from 1865 until the Eisenhower presidency and what did it get the South.
Absolutely nothing.
Since the Eisenhower presidency the South has risen again.
Perhaps after the Fed destroys the US Currency that Confederate money I have buried will be worth something!
Haven't checked lately but I believe it is a picture of that refugee from Bloody Breathitt County in Eastern Kentucky; who shall remain unnamed under penalty of?
Nobody gives a hoot nor a holler about David Duke nor his threats.
He lost in '91 here in Louisiana and it BECAUSE we found out he was an ex-Klansman.
We didn't even want an "ex" Klansman governing our state.
We didn't have much choice that year.
It was either Edwin Edwards or David Duke - one was either going to vote for a steaming pile of horse manure or a bucket full of dog vomit.
It's the only time in my entire life that I refused to enter the voting booth.
I abstained.
To say that David Duke represents a Southern Policy that also represents the GOP is hateful and ignorant.
It is broad-brushing and asserts we are all like David Duke.
It never ceases to amaze me that some, not all, but some people living above the Mason-Dixon line and in Europe and Canada believe that their cities, towns, and countries are just MECCAS of racial harmony and everyone lives in rainbow and candyland.
Nobody gives a flip about David Duke and his "threats".
There has been no such a thing as "Southern Policy" for quite some time now. I am from the South but have not remained here for much of my life (but glad to be back).
I thought that racism was pretty much gone, or at least greatly diminished, until I moved a bit further north.
I learned that most of the southern states have nothing on Maryland, Pennsylvania, Missouri and New York in terms of racism.
Or maybe the South just does a better job at hiding it from everyday life.
Likewise! In fact it took a fraction of a second to even realize who this was!
Dims just prove every day that they have no concept of reality; just a fantasized, bleeding-heart, desperate wish for an unattainable UTOPIA.
A few will wake up after it's too late to reverse, but probably most will, as they crash in flames, continue to blame:
1 The vast right-wing conspiracy,
2 George Bush, or
3 The Tea Party
(maybe even Sarah Palin!) :sleeping_2::sleeping_2::sleeping_2:
They don't live in reality. They push for things that have no hope or evidence that they will do one single thing to make people's lives better and when they get what they want the ignore the fact that what they pushed for is not working.
Obamacare for instance. They claim it is good because it covers more people
(something not in fact) but even if it were the coverage people are getting is still leaving them out in the cold to every day issues. The deductibles are so high that all anyone is basically getting is major medical. Very little is actually being covered under obamacare.
You will not hear them fess up to any of that. They will just repeat the lie that more people are now covered.
So the republicans oppose the democrats by promoting freedom from slavery -- so much so that the Democrats vilify the Republicans for favoring the North in that battle.
And now Duke wants to claim that Republicans are backing the KKK and not the Democrats?
Don't know that he said that. I think he's just saying something similar to what Poncho likes to say. Both sides are more alike than either side likes to admit.
He's obviously gotten together with people who he shares something with in both parties .
