Rush did not make fun of Fox. If you listened to him, you would know this. These examples only prove the drive-by media hate him. Why change the subject, over & over again ?
I listened to the original broadcast. He did not make fun of him. He accused him of purposefully going off his meds to exaggerate his condition. Which came out to be true.
But this thread isn't about Rush, is it ? I already said Letterman has his rights, that's where it should be left.
Whatever. You hate the guy, I'm not going to argue with you. I heard the original broadcast. I watched the video years ago, grainy & jumpy, and just a few seconds long. You can make an opinion of it if you want, I'll stick with the original source. You never repented from calling him "Pig boy", so you can hardly be considered an objective viewer, anyway. It would be a waste of time to talk with you about it.
This thread was about Letterman, and I already posted my opinion of the episode.
I called him Pig Man, not Pig Boy. Don't be so demeaning to the oinkster. He is what he is...makes fun of children and medical conditions. Why you, who claim not to be his follower, is his biggest defender on here, I'll never know.
You don't have to take my "biased" opinion...YouTube is your friend. Straight from the Rush's mouth, video of his show. For a preview, here is a gif someone made of part of it, but you can get the full context if you care.
Besides, what would Rush know about being off meds?
Really ? His biggest defender ? Why on this very thread I said "Rush never made fun of M.J. Fox, but he has said some things that may approach what Letterman said..." I have also in the past said I don't appreciate him calling Ron Paul a "kook", and I have said I strongly disagree with his stance on Iran. Why are you so dishonest ?
Your hateful post not withstanding, there is no sound on that video, and a "gif that someone made" is not going to be considered proof. Probably one of yer hateful buddies that made it.
Wow!
MP shows the actual video, without sound, and Curtis still refuses to accept the truth!
For anyone who who saw the Rush, Michael J. Fox controversy at the time, to now defend Rush says a lot about some people's ability to accept the truth.
Why ? For everything you can find saying he's hateful, you can find one that describes it as not. Bias floods the web, and I trust my own ears better than "youtube", having heard the original broadcast.
And Bob, by M.P.'s own words, that's not the original video. It looks to me like someone imitating a man with Parkinson's.
Tiny Tim is right. For this to turn intop a Rush bashing thread shows the fear from the left.
You choose to remain in your ignorance. Rush streams video of his show. YouTube has his own clip of the episode with the audio you heard. What are you afraid of? Your hero might be flawed? And that IS the video in the GIF...just looped. And GIFs don't have sound.
Also, M.J. Fox going off his meds before testifying makes him a fairly dishonest man. Makes no more sense than a guy going off his heart meds, or chemotherapy to demonstrate his disease.
But after 5 months of the zero's lies, I know how much honesty means to the left. Fox is a hero, Rush is a bum. Letterman doesn't get talked about.
Any proof of this. I do know from having kids with special medical conditions, that titration of dosage is very tricky. What may be the right amount today may not be tomorrow. It is very difficult to get the right level and keep it there.
I thought this thread was about the slime bag pervert David Letterman.
Yet it is cleverly sidetracked by the leftists to endless bickering about Limbaugh.
I have never wasted one minute watching the network late night shows and that includes Steve Allen.
He admitted such, in his book, I cannot remember the name, but it is common knowledge. That was the original accusation. Most of the blogs have something in it in their archives, I'll leave it to you to do the research.
With an issue like stem cell research, tempers will fly high, and people will not be in their right minds talking about it. Rush did not make fun of him, he imitated him, and accused him of dramatizing the effects of his disease.
But back to the O/P, Letterman has the right to say what he did, and Palin has a right to call him pathetic. Seems like in the long run, this episode will be better for her than it is for him. I encourage him to continue.
