I was at the car wash yesterday - cleaning out my car (and boy - did it need it!)
Well, there was a lady there cleaning out her car. Well, I went over and gave her a Bible track and my business card while inviting her to church. Her first response was "Oh, another preacher"
She then stated that it is not necessary to go to church as it is inside of us. Over the next few minutes, I brought up other items - but she just came up with a lot of nonsense - including words in the Bible in red , are not important.
I will add on thing - she is Asian - so I was thinking that her talking of inner spirit was from a Hindu or Buddhist background.
I finally mentioned that the most important question - Do you know if you are going to Heaven- She said that is unimportant as that is in the future. She also mentioned about no need to argue.
I was totally stunned!
At that point - I finally said - it looks like we are going nowhere. So I said, I would rather talk to someone that is willing to listen.
Thoughts
ps - went across the street talked to a young man - when I left - he was reading the Bible track I left.
Dead end .....

When I worked in a hospital setting in critical care, I was talking about my faith to an elderly woman on her death bed; I asked her, "Do you know where you'll go when you die?".
Her mind was on earthly things... she proudly said, "I'm going to a research hospital."

On the other hand, I look at the matter as an effort to break up previously un-farmed ground to allow for plowing and planting. You just weren't able to take part in the harvest.

Yeah...I carry a satchel type bag everywhere I go. I get a lot of comments (mostly from Christians) about the "man purse"....what people don't realize is what I use it for.right now in it are Gospel tracts, an Arabic Gospel of John, a New Testament, 5 different Gospel messages on CDs, and of course my own Bible, and usually I have Gospels of John but I ran out.I had wanted to get rid of it because I was tired of the comments but get convicted about it.
Almost every time without fail I don't take my bag with me somewhere, I need something out of it to give to someone.
People might think it's effeminate..but if always being ready to share the Gospel and having gospel related materials is effeminate than I guess I am effeminate. -
