And if you were a five digit tax cheat, no way would I put you in charge of my money.

    Shame on us.

Fortunately, we are not going to put a five digit tax cheat in charge of the Treasury Department. If we were going to do so I would oppose the action.

We did. If he made a "mistake" like that, he's an idiot. Rangel as well. You wouldn't let Sarah Palin get away with it. You wouldn't let ANT republican get away with it.

Admit it, you guys are complete kool-aid drinkers.

No, we did not. Regardless of how many times you say it, it won't make it so.

And as many times as you deny it, the guy failed to report more money than a lot of people make in a year. That is not a mistake. And if it is, it should disqualify him from taking care of anyone else's money.

Unless you have proof then, as a Christian, you should withdraw that remark.

Don't throw Christ at me. Jesus told us to pay our taxes.

    Shame on you.

I'm the only person on this list who ever made a deal under the table? Took a company pen? Bought stuff in Oregon to save sales tax?

This teaches our younger generation that it is better to be smart than ethical.

AMEN! I have worked in law enforcement for 23 years. Just because you don't know about the law doesn't mean you won't get arrested when you break it.

But anybody and everybody that Obama wants will get approved. He is on a roll.....abortions are more available world wide and funded by our tax money, terrorists are going to win a big victory in Gitmo, and this is just the beginning.

Does the word MILITIA spring to mind, patriots?

What comes to mind is lawless vigilantes with some perceived grudge against the governent; McVeigh, Nichols, and a bomb parked under a day care center in Oklahoma City. Also little Baylee Almon being carried by an OKC fireman as she dies.

So you saying only Democrats approved his nomination? 18-5 I think this means he had some GOP votes.

He is either a tax cheat or just too stupid to hold the job.

Either way, he should be out.

BTW He is a tax cheat.

It was no mistake. It was intentional.

    He is a tax cheat.

The term attempted, by definition, requires intent. One cannot attempt to do something without intending to do it. One may do something unintentionally, but it's not attempted unless you try.

Didn't he pay them without being asked? Not much of a cheat if he turns himself in. Not like he waited until this hearing to mail the check.

Asked several times??? You made me go look it up. He was only asked once when he was audited in 2006. Of course that's why we have auditors to catch that stuff...
