I am also against attempting to legislate sin away. Abortion is an extreme case I know. But women will get abortions by non-compliant doctors legal or not.

 

No, not necessarily (though the LP platform shows the party is trying to walk a pretty thin line). Murder and marriage are laws that the Federal government have traditionally left up to the states, and I think that is the best way to handle it in a Constitutional Republic.

We legislate against all kinds of sins -- murder, theft, assault, and so on. These laws are best left to the states, since, imo, it is within their purview according to the Constitution of the U.S.A. From the standpoint of the state, they are not legislated against because they are sins, but because they harm and/or infringe on the rights of others. Abortion certainly does that!

 

I agree and would support an overturn of RvW. It looks like it could actually happen. If RvW is overturned it will go to the states. So we have the same goal, there. And if the two trump appointees are the constitutional adherents they’re reported to be they would most likely not pass a federal ban on abortion that overrules state law.

And I also admitted abortion was an extreme example of the point I was trying to make.

I gotta tell ya, all you had to do is have knowledge of this guys business practices, speak to some people who were in government positions at the time of his running a construction business, talk to the contractors, designers, architects ,engineers blah blah blah.

My own father in law was a subcontractor for Fred Trump years ago now (FIL is German from Stuttgart ), needless to say he advised me to watch my back. I could go on & on but people who do business with him or have done business dont give him a glowing review.....then dont get me started with the Kushner gonoffs.....Its all public info though sort of.

They will regulate it according to worldview. As my wife stated to me recently.....It's a business, a Moneymaker. You dontwant to provide abortions in Texas, perhaps they will do it in Mexico.... you dont want to do it in Pennsylvania then go to New Jersey. Again, where there is a will there is a way. So nothing will change. Only Christ (IMO) changes the heart.
