Distinct Differences Between Clintons
By: Dick Morris
EXCERPT
Those who know both Hillary and Bill well and are willing to speak frankly in public realize the fundamental differences between the two and grasp how his abilities are the counterpoints to her defects.
He is intensely creative, constantly turning issues over in his mind seeking new solutions. She rarely has a new idea but specializes in advocacy — the rote recitation of talking points.
He has an instinctual feel for people and an uncanny ability to read a room and know what everyone in it is thinking. She is obtuse in her understanding of people and ham-handed in her approach.
He cares deeply about being loved. She seeks popularity as a means to the goal of getting elected but otherwise marches to the beat of her inner, liberal drummer.
He distrusts ideology, and his innate perfectionism finds all belief systems flawed. She swallows the ideological line of the guru du jour hook, line, and sinker. During the health-care years, it was Ira Magaziner that pushed her buttons.
When she decided to back the Iraq war, it was the generals who paraded before her committee. She is vulnerable to a cultish adoration of the guys with all the answers.
He lets the give and take of politics wash off his back. A critic is a potential convert whom he hopes to charm over to his side. She has a rigidly dichotomized view of friends and enemies, demanding total loyalty and public silence from the former and maintaining a ruthless determination to destroy the latter.
She is a Democratic Nixon to those whom she perceives as her enemies.
He is a moderate by instinct, seeking incremental change. She devotedly and deeply believes in a European-style socialism in which government takes much more of our national income and offers a far wider array of services and benefits.
He'll raise taxes when he has to. She'll increase them just to redistribute income.

She a woman and he's a man.

Imagine! Carpro finding something that is insulting to Hillary Clinton.
-
Yeah, imagine that.
Do you find fault with Morris' assessment or do you just go in for cutesy comments?
I find it interesting because he is one of the few people that knows them both intimately in the political setting.
Bill's faults are mainly in the area of taking personal responsibility for his acts of immorality. As a politician, he is superb.
Apparently she is intensely acquisitive of power, vindictive and petty and has nowhere near the political skills of Bill.
If I was a Republican, I would be hoping she is the democrat nominee for President. -
-
Do you have anything constructive to contribute to the discussion? :BangHead: -
If Bill was to run against her for Senator, he would win in a landslide.
He is a great politician, she is not. -
I have only responded to you in a similar way in which you respond to the posters you consider to be liberal.
I have long ago given up trying to have any type of intelligent conversation with you. Just take a few minutes and review the last dozen or so interactions you have had with Daisy and maybe you will understand what this decision of mine is based on.
As far as Hillary Clinton is concerned; however, the very topic of this thread shows your contempt for Mrs. Clinton. I doubt very seriously that you would have started this if the conclusion reached by these third-party spectators in the Clinton's life had been positive instead of negative.
I do find it odd that, as a professing Christian, you find it so easy to demean those you disagree with on such a personal level. Whether or not Hillary Clinton is personable or not has nothing to do with her ability to perform the job she was elected to, and unless you live in her district, it really should be of little concern to you. -
Daisy is completely capable of taking care of herself and is the undisputed queen of sarcasm. Who appointed you her protector?
You make yourself look complete foolish and childish by following me around and making inane comments.
But at least you finally addressed the subject. So... Congratulations!
If Hillary expects to run for President, I'll live in her district. Anyone planning on running for national office is my business as well as anyones. Get over it.
All of it. -

Considering your posts on this subject, I wonder why I'm not surprised. Your real objection is obviously is to anything posted about Hillary that is not exactly, shall we say, flattering. -
Really good post that makes a lot of sense. Morris should know. I do hope hillary runs. I saw that bumper sticker on the FRONT of a car. -
IMHO, the book "Year of the Rat" should be required reading by Christians and anyone else unsure of their '08' vote. It is a fully documented book of the lives of the Clintons, particularily Bill, but including Hillary. These are not the kind of people this nation needs in any political realm.

GW is so much worse than either of the Clintons that it's laughable that these kinds of discussions take place. GW Bush is the worst president in American history. -
I am to the point now where I believe that those living in such countries should either rise up against their aggressors for themselves or just leave. I agree that we have no business policing Iraq, which is what we are now doing.
All that said, that still doesn't make GWB the worst president ever. In fact, I think his dad was worse than he has been. If dad had taken out Sadam, with the backing of the world when he had the chance and the "right", after the invasion of Kuwait, then we would not be in Iraq today. Morally speaking, Clinton was a worse President. Foreign policy-wise, Carter was awful. National policy-wise, LBJ was the worst ever.
Until we get a person in office who actually is conservative ans who will not bow down to political pressure, whether in his administration or from another party, then we will most likely be stuck with the same old, same old.
BTW, we don't know that GWB is worse than Hillary because she has not been President yet, and hopefully will never have the opportunity. Whether he's worse than Bill is purely opinion. -
-
Bush II as worst president ever? Depends on how long it takes to clean up the cesspool in Washington.
Maybe so. But his is not yet shown to be the most corrupt administration (Reagan) or the weakest (Buchanan). Close to the most oppressive, though.
That in itself wouldn't earn him the title. -
