Does Acts 1:18 confirm the testimony of Matthew 27:5 that Judas hanged himself, or does it offer something additional (that he accidently fell or intentionally jumped from high place)? Notice the early English translations (EETs) --
Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. (KJV)
And the same hath nowe purchased a fielde, with the rewarde of iniquitie? And when he was hanged, he burst a sunder in the middes, & all his bowels gusshed out. (Bishops')
