    IMO, Paul resumes answering the question of Rom 3:1 here:

    Rom 9
    4 who are Israelites; whose is the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;
    5 whose are the fathers, and of whom is Christ as concerning the flesh, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

    You misunderstand this. Go to chapter 2 and see what Paul is arguing. Moreso, note that what Paul is saying is that the Jews had God right before them, yet they still doe in their sins. They have an advantage and they utterly fail to see that justification comes by faith, not by the law.

    What, you think you are a mind reader? :rolleyes: All I did was quote Scripture that contradicted Lodic. And you yourself just contradicted him.

    It didn't contradict Lodic, but you think it did. That's the error on your part.

    He said Israel was not advantaged, and the Scripture said they were. Yep, that's a contradiction. And you agreed with Scripture that Israel was advantaged. Read your own post.

    And agedman also told Lodic that he was mistaken, and lodic humbly admitted it.

    You use that "You don't understand" thing a lot, don't you. :)

    I stand corrected. The Jews were definitely privileged that Jesus came through their race, and it was the Jewish prophets who proclaimed God's message. Even though the Jews were privileged, they are saved the same way as Gentiles. That was what I meant by my comment. Neither circumcision, following the Law, nor their sacrifices saved them, as Paul tells us later in Romans 3:21-31, the righteousness of God is through faith, apart from the Law.

    They were not advantaged regarding how a person is saved. Salvation has always been given by God’s grace. Justification has always come through faith alone. Paul makes this clear in Romans 1-8. When you quote Paul in Romans 2, you should note that the only advantage is that God had already revealed himself through the law to Israel, but the law became a stumbling block (see Romans 9) to Israel as the falsely thought the law could save them when it could never do so.
    So, the advantage you intimate in Romans 2 is not what Paul is expressing.

    I don't have to do a thing you say, and no, I did not intimate a single thing. I simply quoted Scripture without commenting on it. Get over it.

    I've read all of the scripture you presented to support your view and I have to be honest in my reply.There is nothing in any of these verses that suggest what you claim.You seem to be assuming that just because you think you are a Jew makes you a Jew. It may convince a Jew He really is Jewish yet it does nothing to make a Gentile a Jew
    Paul also says differently
    Gal_3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
    Col_3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.. I am a Christian.
