Sorry you have to put up with the trash, steveo.
"Diversity" works for me when it involves affirming that we all have equal worth and we should treat all with dignity as human beings...created in God's image.
I can't stomach it so well when the definition of "diversity" is changed to mean that you must celebrate the lifestyle choices of others, and hold them in equal value to your own. Hogwash.
But hey, the industry of the "persecuted" is probably a Fortune 500 company in itself. Where would all the victims work if it wasn't for this? -
Indeed, yes. When did diversity become such a positive buzzword? Especially in regard to sex. Why should we want fornicators, adulterers, queers, crossdressers, one-night-standers, hookers,.....?
And political diversity... Do we want Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, Socialists, Communists, Nazis, Hamas, anarchists,....?
And diversity of viewpoints.... Do we want deists, astrologers, pagans, reincarnationists, anti-speciesists who think an elephant, a human, and a flea are all life units of equal rights....?
Yeah, when did diversity become so positive? -
I agree with Josh McDowell...one of the things that has happened here is that words that we thought we knew:
"Diversity"
"Tolerance"
"Open-minded"
have been redefined. Generationally, there is a great divide in how the above terms are understood.
Sadly, the newer definitions may be winning out.
Say hello to the return of the first century. -
